Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is what most reviewers return to, with several praising a breakfast sandwich and a fresh, hot breakfast they call excellent value. Close behind are friendly, chatty staff and a cafe reviewers describe as very clean. Other items named include a ham and cheese toastie served with a salad, a Chinese curry with rice, and a chocolate coconut mocha that one reviewer says needs no sugar. Reviewers also mention a buzz of conversation and a steady stream of customers leaving with takeaway boxes. The complaints are specific. One diner found the bacon and eggs overcooked, the toast rubbery and the hash browns full of oil, felt watched throughout, and thought it pricey for what it was. Another says a takeaway ordered through Just Eat was cancelled. One reviewer notes parking can be difficult on busy days, and another suggests phoning orders in on weekend mornings. Even the critical diner called the building very clean and tidy.

“Will we return here? Of course! ...So impressed with this place! Slightly dubious at the setting, but numerous parked cars and a steady stream of customers departing with takeaway boxes clearly reassured as to popularity of this great cafe! First impressions as we walked in - buzz of happy conversation, friendly smiles from behind the counter as well as someone busily clearing - and carefully cleaning- tables, a cheerful hive of activity in kitchen to the rear...clearly priced menu on the wall, great choice of freshly-prepared snacks, meals, cakes! Delicious food, excellent value, very clean throughout - a very well-run cafe, as indicated by its busy trade!”

“We visited this cafe on a Sunday morning for a quick bite to eat before doing a local escape room. The cafe itself does feel like it’s in the middle of nowhere but you can clearly tell it’s quite popular! The cafe is nicely presented and has a good selection of seating. Heading inside we were quick to grab a table, have a look at the menu and place our order at the counter. The cafe offers a good selection of food and drinks. The staff were very friendly and the food and drinks came over very quickly. I opted for a ham and cheese toastie which came with a salad and a hot chocolate for a drink. The food was reasonably priced, and tasty. The cafe itself is a nice little gem, also has an onsite toilet and there was a TV to keep you updated with the latest news. Overall you can see how popular this place is as several people arrived during our visit. I would recommend the cafe and visit again next time I’m in the area.”
