About Bella Vita Italian Restaurant
Bella Vita Italian Restaurant is a family-run Italian restaurant and pizza bar at 27 London Rd in Twickenham. Seating includes a balcony level overlooking the ground floor, and meals end with free coffee and limoncello. The kitchen makes its pasta fresh, with mussels linguine among the pasta dishes and calamari as a starter. Pizza, grilled meat, fish dishes, antipasti and salads fill out the rest of the menu. A lunch menu and a specials menu run alongside the main one, and the coffee service means the restaurant also works for a stop between meals. The doors are open every day except Tuesdays. The owners say the ingredients come from Italian suppliers.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return to the pasta, with the seafood pasta and the mussels linguine singled out as full of flavour, authentic and freshly prepared. Close behind are the starters, including calamari and a bruschetta one reviewer calls the best they have had, plus a specials menu and generous portions at a birthday meal. The welcome from the family running the restaurant comes up repeatedly, with reviewers describing staff who made them feel part of the family, nothing too much trouble, and a relaxed atmosphere that kept one table for hours. One diner enjoyed the open balcony level overlooking the ground floor, and another suggests sweet chilli oil and black pepper over the meal. The drinks are described as good rather than extraordinary, though the limoncello is called gorgeous. One reviewer notes the restaurant appeared temporarily closed and hopes it reopens. Several close their visit with the free coffee and limoncello that arrived at the end of the meal.

“It's a real shame to see this place is temporarily closed. We visited a few months ago and genuinely enjoyed the whole experience. I'm usually not the biggest fan of Italian food, but this restaurant just felt like home. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was exceptional, and the food was spot on. The drinks were good too – nothing extraordinary, but for the price they did the job perfectly. The starters were very enjoyable, but the real highlight was the pasta and main courses. Everything was freshly prepared, full of flavour, and cooked with real care. What really made this place special, though, was the service. The owner and his family are such lovely people and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. That level of genuine hospitality is hard to find these days. If you enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, this place definitely won't disappoint. I really hope they reopen soon, because it would be a real loss if such a wonderful family-run restaurant disappeared.”

“What a gem! We had the seafood pasta and it was absolutely delicious, proper, authentic Italian food full of flavour. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into every dish. We ended up staying for hours because the atmosphere was so welcoming. Chef Titi was amazing and clearly so passionate about the food, and Chummi was incredible too. They made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. If you're looking for genuine Italian food with fantastic hospitality, and want to feel part of the Twickenham Community and part of a gorgeous Italian family… this is the place. We can't wait to come back very soon. Highly recommend!”
