Customer Review Summary
Seafood pasta is what diners raise most, from a crab and prawn granchio e gamberoni pasta with a rich, bisque-like sauce to a seafood spaghetti called great, and another reviewer calls the seafood delightful. Pizza comes close behind, with praise for the tasty dough and cheese and the many choices. The veal escalope, lasagne, aubergine parmigiana, croquette starter and tiramisu each get a mention too. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one reviewer says the manager was welcoming across the whole room. The complaints are fewer but specific. One reviewer found the food bland, with salty dishes, soggy and undercooked pizza dough and a tomato sauce that lacked flavour. Another says the restaurant was understaffed, which slowed everything down. One reviewer suggests booking in advance, and another found it fully booked on arrival. A diner seated at the bar enjoyed watching the pizza makers stretch dough beside the large oven.

“I generally struggle to understand the positive reviews. The food is bland, Some dishes were overly salty, soggy and just meh. The pizza dough was soggy and undercooked in some places. It generally doesn’t feel like they choose the best ingredients as nothing really taste as good as Italian food should do. Even the tomato sauce is lacking.”

“Wow. I had lasagne, wife had parmigiana Aubergine. Was a level above any other Italian around Kingston, Surbiton etc. Nice to sit outside in a quiet but lively neighbourhood. Highly recommended especially if you despise chains like i do.”

“The seafood was extreemly delightful along with the deserts. Went back to try the pizza and I must say fantastic.”

“Brilliant meal - food was excellent, service was very friendly and attentive, atmosphere was great, prices very reasonable for the quality. In particular the gent (who I presume was the manager) was really welcoming, diligent across the entire restaurant and couldn’t have done more to make our visit enjoyable. Will definitely go back.”
