  “The restaurant looks lovely, but unfortunately we were unable to dine here. The website and published menu advertise gluten-free pizza, but after being seated and specifically asking about suitability for someone with coeliac disease, we were told by the waiter that they do not recommend it for coeliacs due to the risk of cross-contamination. We completely understand that not everyone who eats gluten-free has coeliac disease, and that some kitchens may not be able to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination. However, this should be made clear on the website and menu, especially when dishes are explicitly advertised as gluten-free. Finding genuinely coeliac-safe places to eat can be extremely difficult, and it’s very disappointing to arrive at a restaurant based on its advertised gluten-free options only to discover after being seated that they are not considered suitable for coeliacs. Clearer information upfront would save customers from this experience.”

  “Enjoyed a pre football match pizza with a friend. Service from the waiters was excellent even though it was very busy. Pizzas looked & tasted fantastic and the tiramisu was yummy. 4 stars as asked for a zero alcohol Pironi in a bottle and I received a luke warm beer in a plastic glass barely half full. I didn’t raise this at the time but was disappointed. Overall excellent food/service and would come back again.”

  “Came here for lunch with my mum, we ordered margheritas, one with a wholemeal base and one with a charcoal base. Both were absolutely fantastic, my mum even said this was the best pizza base she had ever had (and that includes places we’ve been in Italy!) so suffice to say it was delicious!! Would highly recommend. Only note I have is that they don’t offer any sort of fish toppings - if you’re craving tuna go elsewhere!”

  “The pizzas here are incredible, the charcoal dough feels lighter than regular dough and the flavours of the pizzas were really well balanced. Staff were friendly and the music playing was great too. If I was local this would be a regular place for sure.”

  “Such a great addition to the neighbourhood! Yummy pizza, love the menu esp the unique burrata menu and different types of dough - first time having an activated charcoal base and it was not gimmicky at all, delicious! service and staff are 10/10! I they gave us a complimentary tiramisu for my birthday and wanted to give us candles as well but we made do. Highly recommend and will be returning. Often.”

  “I visited Zia Lucia yesterday for pizza and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. The pizza itself was tasty and I would definitely recommend this place. My only small critique is that the tomato sauce was a bit too acidic for my taste.”

  “Great pizza and great service Very tasty pizza. Sauce and base taste great. Kids pizza was also great. Our daughter loved the bunny ears. They also provided her with crayons and a paper menu to draw on. We also had tiramisu which now comes in a jar rather than a big piece shown in previous reviews. Great tiramisu, would prefer it bigger though. Highly recommend and would come back again. Thank you :)”

  “The atmosphere is truly charming; as soon as you step inside, the welcoming and accommodating staff make you feel at home. Seeking shelter from the unpleasant weather, I decided to enjoy a warm meal. I opted for a pizza topped with aubergine, and it exceeded my expectations. It was served piping hot, generously cheesy, and incredibly fresh. The extra salt and pepper added a delightful enhancement, making it the ideal finishing touch. I would like to express my gratitude to the staff for their outstanding service.”

  “We have been coming to Zia Lucia almost every weekend for a year now, and must say we are looking forward to another year. The pizza is easily the best we have ever had, at a very reasonable price that doesn’t hit the pocket too much. The staff are lovely too, and on today’s visit Iona has made us feel extremely special and valued. If it was up to us, we’d nominate her for The Employee of the Month. Our order was prioritised and made in no time, we barely had to wait for it ;)”
