Customer Review Summary

Starters draw the most attention, with reviewers singling out the haggis pakora, beef sukka with large chunks of fresh coconut, chicken pakora and cauliflower 65, plus a mixed starter to share described as unusual and tasty. Close behind are the mains, including fresh chicken tikka, a vegetarian curry described as bursting with flavour, and chicken Nentara served piping hot alongside naan and rice. A few also praise the mocktail menu. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly, kind and attentive, and several call the prices reasonable or good value. The main criticism is presentation. One diner who ordered the Special Tandoori Combination expected a sizzle plate with charred onions and a trail of smoke, but it arrived lying flat on the plate, tasty enough yet a letdown. Another felt the cauliflower 65 needed a raita or mango dip. One regular has held the last three birthday dinners here while working through the menu one meal at a time.

“We really enjoyed our meal here, the starters were amazing. Main courses delicious too. Lovely, attentive staff. Would highly recommend. We were apprehensive as we are used to proper curries In Bradford and this did not disappoint. Would absolutely come again.”

“My fourth Indian restaurant in as many weeks. The reviews were great but what a surprise. At first I thought I had the wrong place as I wasn't greeted by an Indian gentleman? However, I checked and looked at the menu and I was in the correct place. I ordered a Cauliflower 65 to start which was delicious but I think maybe needed a raita or mango dip? Followed by two vegetarian side dishes with a chapati. Two pints of Cobra. All delicious. The service was spot on. Loved the cutlery and it wasn't King's pattern. £30 Very highly recommended.”

“We were intrigued by a face book post that Spice Garden ground their own spices creating unique fresh flavours, do we headed down for a Sunday lunch. Restaurant was fairly busy and having never been before we were hopeful for a nice meal. Our starters were very tasty,I had beef sukka, with large chunks of fresh coconut through it,very different but thoroughly enjoyed it,chicken pakora was given the thumbs up as well. I ordered the Special Tandoori Combination, this was my only disappointment of our meal,no sizzle plate, with charred onions beneath and a trail of smoke as it headed my way, sadly,it lay on the plate ,a sorry site, tasty enough, but not what I was expecting, bit of a let down. Nan bread, rice, sauces and our secondary of Chicken Nentara all got the thumbs up,piping hot and very tasty. Overall a nice meal and good value for money”
