Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply on this all-you-can-eat buffet, and the prawns in salt and pepper come up most as the draw, with one reviewer calling them a favourite and another picking them out as the best of the meal. Close behind are the sweet and sour chicken, described as lovely and not too sweet, plus the black bean beef, the mushroom chicken balls and the lemon chicken. Several praise the variety and the value, and the chocolate fountain is called a hit with children, while one reviewer found it a mess. The sweetcorn soup is described as tasting like water. The strongest complaint is lukewarm or cold food, repeated across many reviews, with dry, tasteless dishes and chicken that looked undercooked. Some reviewers dislike paying at the door, and others say staff chatted at the bar instead of tidying a food-covered floor or serving drinks. One reviewer who complained about the food was refused a refund at first and received a partial one after a long dispute. Another was told it costs too much to bin the food. Only the sushi and dim sum were called edible by one diner.

“Went Lunchtime. Great no nonsense lunch buffet at a good price. I like this one over the kingston branch which is also good because they have more options here at lunchtime including my favourite the prawns in salt/pepper/butter. Also the sweet and sour chicken is lovely, not too sweet just how i like it. Top place, excellent value.”

“The worst food I have eaten. Do not eat here. You will get food poisoning. Also paid £8 for 2 apple juices. The food is terrible. We have very bad stomach pains from this food”

“Absolutely AWFUL! First you have to pay before you even sit down. The staff is inattentive, spending their time chatting at the bar. No table service for drinks. One of the staff kept picking his nose and wiping it on his tee shirt. Then the food… disgusting ! Dry, tasteless, not kept hot enough. Only the sushi and the dim sium are eatable. Avoid at all cost!”

“Ate here for lunch as the price was so affordable considering a fresh take away wrap or sandwich is around £7-£10 these days. The restaurant is clean and well presented. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of food from the buffet, but the taste/flavours are just average. I enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken, stir fried broccoli and the salt and pepper prawns the most. The sweetcorn soup basically tasted like water, didn’t really have a taste, couldn’t even taste the sweetcorn in it. 🤷♀️”

“Oh lord. Just arrived back from eating here at 7pm on a Sunday. How I wish I’d checked the reviews before entering. The food was all tepid in temperature and I’m hoping to god we don’t get sick. The chicken looked three quarters cooked and the other meals were tasteless. The chocolate fountain was a real mess. Lots of staff moving about but mainly chatting to each other, definitely not tidying or sweeping the disgusting food covered floor. I’m gutted I’ve just paid £17.99 for this. Avoid at all costs.”
