Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for the fish and chips, with cod and haddock cooked to order and described as perfectly cooked by one diner, and a lunch by the water mentioned by another. Close behind are the curry sauce, welcomed as chip shop style and not at all spicy, and a tender, juicy chicken burger. Others mention spring rolls and pea fritters, and one notes gluten free options. Staff draw repeated praise, with the woman on the counter called very friendly, requests off the menu such as pineapple in a burger accommodated, and a warm welcome given to a party arriving as the shop was closing on Christmas Eve. The complaints are about consistency. One reviewer found two medium cod very overcooked, with dark hard batter and dried fish inside, and another called the cod dry and tasteless. A third reports a long wait for a portion of chips, which stuck to the paper. One diner also found the paper saturated in oil because the fish was wrapped straight from the fryer. One reviewer found the menu screens confusing, and generous portions were noted by another.

“Always a long wait for even just a portion of chips. No idea on a busy night they don't have chips ready. I don't know if it was because they were frozen but really chips stuck to the paper. Small portion of chips will be just for one.”
