About Blue Jasmine Wine & Tapasía
Blue Jasmine Wine & Tapasía is a pan-Asian restaurant in Ocean Village, Southampton, on Alexandra Wharf, with tables overlooking the water. Its Tapasía concept pairs small sharing plates with wine, and a bar counter mixes cocktails, including a full moon cocktail. The imperial duck is served with pancakes. For a bigger spread, the kitchen offers a chef's choice set menu and a sharing platter, plus a set meal for two. A private dining room is available for groups. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the honey lemon chicken, with the imperial duck and its pancakes close behind and the full moon cocktail also drawing praise. Several describe the chef's choice set menu and the sharing platter, and one reviewer calls the oysters fresh. Views over the water and friendly staff come up repeatedly. The caveats concern value and execution. Two reviewers found the small plates too small for the prices, one likening them to tasting plates, and another felt the dishes tasted pre made and reheated. One set menu left a diner disappointed by tough beef, messy prawns and a duck that was not crisp, and an empty pancake basket was quickly rectified. One reviewer was charged for prawn crackers never ordered, plus a fee for preparing the lamb chops, and another did not realise desserts fall outside the First Table discount. Anniversary diners describe a card laid out on the table and a free dessert.

“Had a nice anniversary meal with my partner here, very good food, fantastic view outside. They even gave us anniversary dessert for free! l like the imperial duck the most, although the pancake was a bit dry first time round. It's not cheap, but the experience was worth the money, definitely will come back again.”

“Amazing venue, we opted for the set menu chefs choice we got off to a good start with the starters they were amazing, then it was downhill from there as the duck wasnt crispy they brought an empty basket which should have been pancakes although it was empty which was quickly rectified, then onto the mains the beef was tough, prawns messy, lemon chicken was good along with the noodles and rice overall experiance sadly disappointing”

“The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and the staff are extremely friendly. I participated in the oyster event today, which was £1 each. It was a great value for money and the freshness was just like they were freshly caught. The owner even came over to greet us. This is a restaurant I will definitely come back to and highly recommend.”

“I am not gonna lie but food wasn’t good at all, for the price and location I think that they can do better. We ordered a lot and we were sharing, all food was warm you could tell that it’s all pre made and warm up. Portion is small which is ok but the quality could be better. Service was ok I do not have anything bad to say against the guys but they did not give us check back. I would like to address this to the managers or the owners with this quality of the food this place not gonna survived for long.”
