  “Went to Sambuca in South Shields today for the first time. Lovely welcoming and friendly staff. Made us feel special. Had the three course menu. I had soup starter followed by lasagna then coffee with cream. Absolutely gorgeous. Then to our surprise a complementary garlic cheese pizza. Not hurried at all. Very relaxed atmostphere. Enjoyed so much returning again this sunday and will bring my husband too.”

  “I had trio of meat's for Sunday lunch, all 3 were cooked to perfection,...chicken was still juicy, lamb and beef were absolutely delicious. A very good portion and selection of vegetables. Staff so friendly and I will definitely be going back as the prices were brilliant. All 4 of us really enjoyed our meals”

  “Another absolutely outstanding meal with the Sambuca franchise. This is the first time we visited the South Shields restaurant which is conveniently situated right next to the Children’s amusement park we came in at lunchtime just after opening and the fact that they have a £10 and a £20.03 course meals absolutely astonishing the food as always was absolutely fantastic service and atmosphere impeccable and a portion sizes grow out of this world too exactly what we have come to expect from this reasonably priced local franchise restaurant 🙏🙏🙏”

  “First time in Sambuca South Shields. We arrived with no booking and the staff were excellent moving tables around in order that our group were all sat together. Food was really nice and very good value for the money. Would definitely go back.”

  “Was very busy when we went in on a Thursday lunchtime. Service was good and the pizza was excellent, very tasty and the base was just as I like them. Special lunchtime deal on too.”

  “Good food with good price!!! We availed the Lunch deal 2 course meal (12pm -4pm) 2 Minestrone soup, pasta carbonara and pasta sambuca with pint of pineapple juice.”

  “Very poor quality food and service. The manager was serving food to the tables and was passing hot plates to children, put his thumb in the garlic sauce and spilled what they called minestrone soup when placing on the table. See pics of this so called minestrone soup as it was served and very poor potato skins that were cold and very greasy. No one asked if the food was ok as we were eating or after we'd finished. If there was anything positive to say, our main server, Charlie was polite and friendly. Will not be going back. Oh and spotted the chef having a tab sitting on the floor outside the main entrance of the dunes.”
