  “Overall, we really enjoyed our first visit to Davanti's. It's got a lovely atmosphere in a fabulous setting and I'm certain that we will return. Generally, the food was excellent with generous portions, but I can't give 5* because some of the service was erratic and slow, and my ravioli was actually a tortellini and it was disappointing. Apart from this, the food was very tasty and represented good value, with a special shout-out to the sublime desserts.”

  “Five of us enjoyed a very tasty Sunday lunch after a morning at Tynemouth market. The Sunday lunch set menu was ideal for everyone with a mix of generous starters and a good choice of desserts which one or two of us couldn’t fit in… but we were offered additional spoons to help those who’d skipped the starter and opted for dessert. Great staff, lovely atmosphere and service was good despite the restaurant being very busy. We will definitely be back.”

  “We were a party of 7 , 6 adults and a child. We felt at ease as soon as we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The ambiance of the place was calm and the background music was very relaxing and enjoyable. The food was excellent and portion size was extremely generous. We all really enjoyed our evening.”

  “The garlic mushrooms are one of the best I’ve had! And the seafood in the pasta is perfectly fresh. The cosmopolitan cocktail is very nice and the staff were very helpful and accommodating with any questions or help we needed. We will be back again!”

  “Really enjoyable meal- in a friendly ambiance. Thought we were in Italy. The food tasted authentic Italian- and plenty of it. Really tasty arancino. And not too expensive. This was our first visit- will definitely come back.”

  “This place is a hidden gem.. we got a lovely welcome, taken too our table order our drinks and food, the place was really busy and yet our drinks arrived within five minutes and our food which was, garlic bread followed by, chicken Kiev with chunky chips.. the food was fabulous, extremely well presented and so very tasty.. i would not hesitate to recommend this Italian restaurant, it's just beside Tynemouth metro station.. you certainly won't be disappointed.. the bill was less than fifty pounds for both of us which included wine..”
