About Coffee Revolution
Coffee Revolution is the Students' Union's own coffee shop in Sheffield, set inside the Student's Union building on Brook Hill Road at the University of Sheffield. It is open to all, not just students, so staff, visitors and locals can order alongside the student body. The room has big glass windows. The drinks list includes lattes with latte art, iced Americano and filter coffee, and Pain au Chocolat is on offer to go with them. Gluten free and vegan snacks are also available, with a cross-contamination warning. Everyone queues together at a single counter, whether ordering to sit in or to take away. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along.

Customer Review Summary
Coffee is the main draw at this Students' Union cafe, with reviewers calling it good, great or decent and singling out the latte, the latte art and an iced Americano that one finds ok. Several say the coffee could be slightly better, and one calls the filter coffee awful and a sandwich the worst they have bought. A chocolate pastry is one reviewer's go-to order. Others describe a warm, busy, cosy room with big windows, comfy seats, friendly staff, quick service and decently priced food in the centre of the university. The recurring complaint comes from one detailed review about order handling. It describes orders forgotten on several occasions, a latte charged when an Americano was requested, and takeaway coffees delayed while later customers were served. That reviewer also says a merged queue for seating and takeaway has lengthened the wait. They close with a dine-in order placed with a table number and paid for, which never arrived until they went back to the till.

“They do latte art and the coffee is decent”

“The filter coffee is awful, I was willing to drink it because of the vouchers given by the BetterPoints app, and because this was the closest cafeteria to the laboratories. But now that the vouchers are worth 750 points, nah. If you really want to get a good cup of coffee, go to the Jessop Café. WAY better taste, more option's with the GeniUS vouchers and they are worth 500 points.”

“It's a shame to be writing this review because the coffee here tastes really good and I like the space. It's a cosy place, despite the big windows, comfy seats, usually good music, good WiFi and clean. However, on at least 3 occasions now my order has been forgotten or missed out. In addition to this I have been charged for a Latte when I asked for an Americano (and had it confirmed by the server), so I was charged extra. I don't drink milk so would never have ordered a Latte. Not even a sorry. Twice I have ordered coffee to take away and after 15-20 minutes of waiting, while everyone served after me got their coffee, I have been asked what I am waiting for and then the order written out and started. On another occasion I was staying in. I gave my table number, paid and took the seat as instructed. Half an hour and nothing! I had to go up to the till and point out that I still hadn't received my coffee. Really disappointed in the service. There used to be two counters, one for seating and one for takeaway, but they make everyone queue together now so it's longer queues and a longer wait. There are some gluten free and vegan snack options, but they warn there may be cross contamination, so if you have an allergy don't bother. Sorry to say, will be looking for an alternative coffee shop in the area.”

“The coffee is great. The staffs are also friendly, especially to international students. The atmosphere is just perfect to get relax with your coffee while enjoying the view through the glass window.”
