  “We used to go to a different Chinese on Middlewood Road that has recently gone downhill. We decided to use Golden City instead and I was very happy. We had the set meal C and added a couple more things and there was more than enough for six of us. Everything was tasty too. We spent £10 each, but could have spent £8 each and still been satisfied which is good value nowadays.”

  “I waited 2 hours for my food tonight and it came , the chicken and beef non existent it was pure rock hard batter. Chicken satay was all slimey. Called the restaurant for help, told me nothing they can do would discount me next time I order. I will never be ordering again. Terrible food and even worst customer service AVOID”

  “If I could give it a zero rating I would. Horrendous service. No food. I get an email to confirm delivery within an hour. An hour and 30 mins wait still no food. I called and was told 10 minutes. Then they said no we are busy so changed to 30 minutes. Then offered me a discount. I asked to cancel they refused at 1st. I proceeded to ask for a refund which they reluctantly gave. I will change this post to advise if a refund was received or not.”

  “No idea what it tastes like as we cancelled after waiting an hour and a half for food that should have been delivered within an hour. When we rang the woman told us it was going to be half an hour as they were cooking it. Then when we said we said they would be getting a 0 rating from us she said it would be 10 minutes. "Make up your mind we said and she said 5 mins is it was coming down our road" so my husband was like cancel the order and refund me the money! £80 worth or order down the drain because of poor service and no communication!”

  “I don't usually like Chinese takeaway, but this was faultless and delicious. Ordered via ubereats and it was here within 30 minutes. We'd previously been missing ribs, but they added them in no issue. This is the first Chinese takeaway I've ordered where the food was fresh, tender and super warm! Thank you, we very much appreciated it”

  “I’m impressed, ordered salt & pepper chips, sweet and sour chicken balls & bbq ribs in bbq sauce, each dish was perfect, piping hot and very tasty!. The highlight would definitely have to be the chips, nice and crispy outside with plenty of flavour and soft and potatoey inside, not like most other Chineses where the chips are dry and bland. Absolutely delicious!”
