  “We did the "bottomless lounge" option, on good Friday. Food, drinks, service 10/10. Staff were great, kept the drinks flowing. Good music playing. Real cocktails, not fruit juices and syrup like alot of other places. Food, Northern burger, was delicious too! For the price it was brill. We will defo be back! 🍔🍸🍹🙂”

  “I'm basing my review on not just one visit but my last few visits. The venue is great and the staff are always friendly but the last four out of five visits have been disappointing. Yesterday we had a table of five booked but the staff didn't seem to be expecting us. We were told to pick any table just not the only one that could have actually seated us all together, so we put 2 round tables together. None of the available tables were clean and the only cutlery was what had been left behind by previous customers. The music was quite loud and we couldn't have conversations across the 2 tables. The food was below average and only slightly warm. We didn't feel comfortable pointing any of the issues out to the staff members and to be fair they may have rectified the issues if we had have done so, but asking them to clean the tables and sending the cold food back just isn't something we felt comfortable doing. If this had been just a one off I wouldn't have left a review like this but these issues have happened more than once. I've always liked this venue and will keep returning because I do want to support local businesses, hopefully I'll be posting a more positive review soon.”

  “My partner and I recently moved to the area and had driven past The Lounge several times. I’d been meaning to stop in for ages, and after a long walk, we finally decided to pop in for a coffee, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The interior is cozy and inviting, and we were warmly welcomed by two friendly members of staff. As for the coffee, it was absolutely delicious. My partner isn’t usually a coffee drinker, but even he commented on how lovely it was, which really says something! We’ll definitely be back 😁”

  “Good food in a friendly atmosphere. Drinks and food service very slow, 60 mins for 2 plates of food! Excused by the staff as 'we are not a fast food restaurant'.”

  “If you want sourdough that could break your teeth and food that’s cold then still charge you for it then go here. Never ever put reviews but the only positive was young girl was really nice and welcoming.”

  “Visited the Lounge for breakfast with family for a little birthday get together. The place was clean & spacious. The decor was lovely too. The service was great, very fast, friendly & efficient. Now for the food, x4 luxury breakfasts & x1 ultimate breakfast . . . . wow, they were all fantastic, the presentation was great, the food was fresh & very tasty. The breakfasts were BIG & definitely well worth the money. We all enjoyed it so much, that we can’t wait to go back. Thank you for making our morning a very happy one. Keep doing what you’re doing!! X”

  “Went out for brunch here mid week. Service was good and attentive. Had a great selection of food on the menu all reasonably priced. Coffee was great and they did milk alternatives (oatmilk). Breakfast was well presented and cooked well. Had a selection of bread options to choose from as well. Nice atmosphere and decor. Will defo go back.”

  “Decided to come here for breakfast on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy so we were able to get a table. There was only 2 members of staff on the front of house. They came over and took our drinks order which took a good 5+ minutes to get a cup of tea and some water. We then ordered some food which arrived quite timely and was tasty. There wasn't any napkins available so we had go ask for some of them. I also went to the toilet whilst I was here and the toilet was not great at all. It really smelled and was quite filthy, especially the radiator. It did not feel very sanitary at all and only 1 was working and the other was out of order. I would come back and try their cocktails in the evening as I've heard good things about this. The food was ok we had a pleasant time”

  “Second Review: Lounge now has late nights, and is all the more the better for it. After a delicious meal, we settled down for a few drinks in one of the most relaxing atmospheres we've enjoyed in a long time. Bizarrely, I then fancied a dessert, and being an ice cream lover, chose Luxury Affogato, with vanilla ice cream, a shot of liqueur, luxury biscuits, drizzle of bourbon, chocolate shavings, all mixed. Amazing. The cocktails are worth the visit too - I recommend the Mai Tai. You have to give The Lounge a try, it's fantastic. First Review: This is a welcome addition to the area, a very relaxing coffee bar and bistro, serving well prepared food and with very attentive staff. I had the all day breakfast, and the ingredients were clearly of excellent quality. We've been in for a quick coffee, we've been in for lunch, and it's definitely worth the visit. It's always busy, but you'll easily find a seat without feeling crowded. Alcohol is served, and it's nice they're trying to hold events (cocktail evenings, day time events) If you're in the area, or passing through, Lounge is definitely worth a visit.”
