About Dana Cafe
Vegetarian and vegan cooking runs through the whole menu at Dana Cafe, a small cafe on Crookes in Sheffield. The English breakfast is served all day, as a full or a half, so a cooked plate stays available past the usual morning window, and loaded sourdough toast comes with toppings including eggs, avocado, butter and jam. Homemade veggie and vegan dishes fill out the rest of the list, alongside a wide range of teas and coffee from cappuccino to americano. Tables are taken on a walk-in basis with no bookings, and since the room is small and fills up at weekends, arriving earlier in the day gets ahead of the lunchtime rush. A step-free entrance lets visitors with mobility needs come straight in, and a little table outside suits anyone who wants to eat in the open air. Dogs are welcome inside. The cafe trades Tuesday to Sunday during the daytime and closes on Mondays.

“Lovely calm relaxing cafe. Only went in for a drink. The menu is vegan but it was bustling. Polite staff. Dogs were allowed in. £7.50 for a latte and americano.”

“I love this cafe! I’d argue the flat white is the best going in Crookes just saying 🤷♀️ The portion sizes are really generous and the staff are lovely, making sure to accommodate gluten free dietary requests. There’s also loads of community events/activities listed in the toilets! Will definitely be a frequent local spot for me 😀”

“Delicious coffee in a lovely area, vegetarian cafe absolutely perfect for good eggs on sourdough toast!”
- Emma Lou
“Lovely cafe. Decent food and very good coffee. But letting dogs sit up at the tables is not hygienic or pleasant for other customers. It puts you off your coffee when someone else’s dog is breathing in your face! Dogs in cafes is fine- if the owners behave well.”

“DELICIOUS vegan and veggie breakfasts, and gorgeous drinks! We sat outside at the cutest little table, and even though it was super busy the service was amazing and quick! Special mentions: homemade vegan sausage and tempeh bacon 🤤”
