  “I didn’t love it. We were a table of 4. We ended up being sat outside though there were plenty of tables inside. just at the back opposite the bar.. We had to go two by two to get out food, due yo being sat outside and having drinks, coats, bags. It took us 30 min in the queue and felt like we got leftovers. No sausages, no yorkshire puddings( they didn’t have them when we started queuing and 20-30 min in the queue we were told it’ll take another 15-20 min) , brocoli was almost out, only 1 beef dripping pot left, lamb consistend in scarping the bone, all meat was dry and pretty cold. I had dust meat on my plate and almost meat crumbs. Very low amount of meat given that you must be aware that when you queue for 30 min the chances of coming back for seconds are low. So our other 2 friends got in the queue after us, and took them 30 min too. They had all hot food, no sausages still, but everything that we missed in the first queue, though I paid for a full roast, I feel like I had cold, dry leftovers . All in all, in a party of 4, we ended up 2 by 2 which defeats the point. The outside was full of with wasps on our food, and had to change table, got even under the napkins covering the food, one got into my pint that I was afraid to drink afterwards. All in all.. sounded like a good cheaper roast to please the entire table but it ended up being stressful, low amount of meat, a lot of the roast staples missing and most important we had to even eat separately.”

  “We visited Toby Carvery at Badgers Mount on Saturday 29th Aug, we didn’t book and it was very busy and therefore not able to get a table. We decided to order a take out and popped back in to wait for our order. Julie saw we ordered and said we could eat our food in the bar area as a table had become available. Julie was very accommodating and helpful and made our visit into a very pleasant experience. They were also very short staffed, but nothing was too much trouble for Julie. Food and staff amazing!”

  “My partner and I both have various disabilities and really struggle leaving the house on occasions.Your staff member Becky was absolutely delightful and showed us remarkable compassion and attention .I would highly recommend the restaurant and would go out of my way to be waited on by Becky especially ,what a wonderful young girl. She even offered to give us a walking tour of the local area.😊😊”

  “boyfriend and I had a last minute decision to come to toby for a roast. As it was 12pm, it was only us and a few other tables so atmosphere was nice. (i didnt feel any AC though so not sure if they have it or not) Regardless our server Nanette was lovely, attentive, and happy to do anything we needed and was working hard serving all other tables as it got a little busier as we finished. Food was lovely as always, toby never misses. We will be back again”

  “We had booked for 4 30 on 19th April but we were 2 hours early as we had gone somewhere else first. On arrival at Toby Badgers Mount, Ben welcomed us. We asked if they had a table then as we were early. After brilliant banter he took us straight to our table. All of the guys behind the counter were brilliant. They look like they were enjoying their job! So efficient too. The food was really lovely. We were served by Angela. She was friendly abd very professional. Our whole experience here was excellent from arrival to leaving, completely full up!!! A huge "thank you" to everyone.”

What impressed me most was her knowledge of the menu—she gave thoughtful recommendations and was able to answer all our questions with confidence. Lucy struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal. Her positive attitude and professionalism made the whole dining experience even better.   “Myself and my friends went to the Badgers Mount Carvery for the first time recently. The food was served in great portion sizes, perfect temperature and was extremely good. Our waitress Lucy made sure we were attended to for both drinks and our food order and was great at making sure we were happy throughout. We would choose to have Lucy again if we come back! The atmosphere was great, lots of families and groups of friends were preset with few few if any vacant tables.”

  “Always lovely food and staff when we go here. My partner suffers from migraines so we do have to request to sit away from any lights above us as they tend to flicker/pulse quite a bit. Other than that a great experience”

  “I visited here for a family meal, and we all chose the carvery option for our main. The main carvery meal was nice, however, there was a ten minute wait to be served at the carvery deck and some of the vegetables and the vegetarian gravy were not very warm. The portions for the main carvery were extremely good and the meat was very well cooked. Some of our party had dessert and all desserts were very nice. One of our party had an allergy and this was taken extremely seriously. An iPad was provided with all possible menu options so each possible choice could be checked for potential allergens. The member of staff also said there was an option to have the vegetables steam cooked separately if required. This part was excellent and should be commended. Overall we had a lovely meal but the restaurant did get very busy around standard meal times. Would recommend.”
