  “Really lovely vibe here, fiendly. All the guests seem to be having a great time. Penney and all the team I interacted with took great care of me and others, were friendly, welcoming, made sure all was okay throughout the evening and had a good sense of humour.”

  “Can be a bit hot in there but worth it for the great food and service. Breakfast there first time I’ve tried and was probably one of the e greatest experiences of my entire existence. Roast dinner obviously to standard as well. Mind blown by the bacon though. Wonderful.”

  “Great service from Pai, as always. She was really up against it when I visited, deserves a medal. Food was really nice and atmosphere was charged, it was so busy. One word of warning for this, or any Toby Carvery….. book your table, even if you think it’ll be quiet. Avoids any disappointment if it’s unusually busy. Don’t care how good the teams are, they can’t make tables and seating appear out of thin air.”

  “Neil and his manager were superb at meeting and maintaining the demands of the busy restaurant tonight. The only two on shift both coped well to keep the many customers happy. In particular, Neil, who achieved this with a very calm, courteous and friendly demeanour. I would say the service tonight has been better than any other I have experienced during recent visits and with a full staff presence.”

  “Normally I love a Toby Carvery. But this Father&s Day experience at this site was awful. The venue was dirty, rhe food was tasteless, the macaroni cheese had no flavour or crunchy, was literally pasta covered in a diluted cheese sauce. Potatoes rock solid due to heat lamps.I have been to Eden Park, Snaresborooke and South Croydon Restaurants and i must say this is by far the worst. I will not be returning anytime soon.”

  “Very friendly bar staff in the form of the rather attractive young lady with the dark hair and also of course Ms Thailand herself. It was nice to break out a bit of my Thai language fluency again. The restaurant staff were like whirling dervishes, highly attentive, speedy and polite. I’d originally chosen to go for the normal sized plate but when I was in the speedy queue, I opted for the large one. And I was glad I did. Chose the lamb and it was expertly carved, had some sausages and Yorkie pudding as well. The cauliflower cheese, parsnips, roast spuds, peas, carrots and green beans all on point and I couldn’t resist snaffling a bit of crackling whilst in the queue. Lashings of gravy, apple sauce, English mustard and horseradish ( no mint sauce as I’m unconventional). Must’ve been a good pound of food there and I managed to tuck away about 95% of it. I rode my Ebike the 6 miles home without using the pedal assist mode, but pure analog to burn off some of calories. The place was pretty much rammed, tables all full 1 hour after kickoff at 12pm. I will be going back and will take my lady there also. See you all soon.”

  “Lynn provided one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, she was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely lovely throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, and her friendly personality completely made the experience. You can tell she truly cares about customers and takes real pride in what she does. Staff like Lynn are incredibly rare, and she honestly deserves recognition — and probably a promotion! The food was fantastic as well, but Lynn’s outstanding service is what will definitely bring me back again. Thank you for such a brilliant experience.”

  “Absolutely great. First time purchased from here and will definitely come back. The portions are generous, food is tasty, quantities are perfect and everything was nice. The serving was quick (I took away), the staff is professional and parking there is free. The premises are clean, well maintain and options to pick from the menu are generous. I understand now why so many positive reviews.”

  “Me and my friend did not have a good meal at the Toby Carvery. On the booking notes, I requested a booth to have some privacy and whilst there were 2 available, I was told that we could not use them due to if they had walk ins, so we were sat right in the corner in the furthest part of the restaurant which was very disappointing. As we went up for our carvery, there was no one ready to serve us and had to wait about 3 mintues before a staff member even clocked that we were waiting and rushed to tell the kitchen. We were then told there were no yorkshire puddings and that it was going to be a 6 minute wait at least. The person serving had no enthusiasm and was not generous with the meats at all despite us both going for king size. The potatoes were not light and fluffy and instead crispy and burnt- I have attached images. There was no gravy available- all run out- attached is an image. I am very disappointed and we only came in at 7:30pm on a Saturday night- everything should be available and top notch. Instead we had a bad experience. I would appreciate if someone could get in contact with me regarding this. Thank you”
