  “This was the first time we had been to the restaurant and it was very enjoyable. The atmosphere was friendly and buzzing. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly with the food coming out promptly. The food and wine provided were excellent, the best Italian restaurant we have been to in a while, and we will definitely be going there again. Highly recommended”

  “Buzzing atmosphere, helpful friendly staff. Food was excellent. The mussel starter and prawn starter were huge and raved over.The pizzas were again very generous in size, the base light and crispy and generously topped. Pastas were again well cooked and flavourful. Very reasonably priced. The friends we were with recommended this restaurant when they came earlier in the year when visiting Scarborough for the racing and I must admit when we come again we will definitely be booking it again”

  “Lovely welcoming staff and very attentive. Very nice big portions of food that filled me up for the night. The food service was quick too arrived to my table in around 10 minutes. Went by myself and the food was delicious”

  “Arrived on time and sat at table immediately which was very good. Food ordered quickly and easily including gluten free options. Gluten free garlic bread was fabulous. Read that they were pre made bases for gluten free but looked home made and tasted good. (Wish could get them in shops). All food arrived quickly and hot and tasty. Check back to make sure all was ok. Would definitely go again and recommend it. Photos of gluten free carbonara and a calzone. We were a table of 5 and all food was excellent.”

  “We have been visiting Florios for years as a family and it’s a place our young Grandchildren always get excited about going to. Whilst we do enjoy what we have, and flavour wise it’s always consistent, we have noticed a difference in the food of late. Less toppings on the pizza, which often tends to be a little on the crisp/burnt side. Florios garlic bread is the best, but again, the crust vs topping ratio was significantly noticeable at our latest visit (even my young granddaughter commented!) I know it gets busy in the kitchen, but then Florios has always been a busy place.”

  “Very disappointing experience. We paid extra for a different sauce with the kids’ meal, but when it arrived there was barely any sauce on the pasta (as shown in the photo). It was essentially plain pasta, which my little one doesn’t like, so paying extra was a complete waste of money. We were then charged extra again for just a few pieces of grated cheese on top, which felt unreasonable. To make matters worse, we were rushed throughout the meal. There was barely any time between our starters and mains before the next course arrived, making the whole experience feel hurried rather than enjoyable. We spent around £100, so we expected much better service and value. Overall, a very disappointing visit, and unfortunately not one we’ll be rushing back to.”

  “Where do I start... We've been eating at Florio's for the best part of 30 years as a family and tonight has to have been the worst experience I've ever had in the restaurant. First off, once we we're sat down we waiting around 15 minutes to order our food, we called someone over after that time as no one had been over (it was fairly quiet as far as this place goes, in fact upstairs and our area had no customers). Starters came out and were perfectly fine, however again we were just left waiting for someone to come clear our table, in that time I witnessed a backup at the till at the bar, two staff members bickering, one lass stood at the kitchen window with a bunch of cutlery just talking about nothing (I'm not against this, work has to be fun WHEN THERE ISNT JOBS TO BE DONE), again we had to holler someone over to clear our table! Our mains came out almost straight away which means one thing, they had been sat waiting to come out, the garlic bread, pepperoni pizza, and both margarita pizzas burnt, this is when I finally mentioned something to the waiting staff, I didn't get his name but I was watching him and he had been doing a lot of work, so again if you are reading this I'm sorry you had to take my complaint in, he was respectful and understanding, unlike the "boss" he got to resolve this. The Boss, manager, I don't know, he justified the pizzas, made us feel like it was us who should ask for a pizza not well-done if we don't want it well-done. That logic makes 0 sense, not once in my 30 years of eating with you have I ever had to ask for a not well-done pizza! Not only that but surely our starters would have also come burnt, sorry "well-done"? Thanks for knocking the "well-done" pizza off of the bill, my best suggestion for you is to not be sat around the front with whoever you where with and maybe watch your staff closer, you have some people busting themselves and some who are free riding. Customer service is everything, you shouldn't be justifying bad quality product for your ego. Accept it, and make it right without making back handed comments about it all. Lost a very long time customer, who has come in and spent a heck of a lot of money in that place. Good luck with the place.”

  “Fantastic food. Very flavoursome and plenty of it. Staff friendly and helpful. The decor makes it feel like an Italian restaurant. Definitely worth a visit. The price is very reasonable. They also have a happy hour through the week on pizza and pasta dishes.”
