About Viking Cafe
Viking Cafe is a Turkish restaurant in Saltcoats, found at 39 Countess St, with a menu that spans tandoori and kebab boxes, curries, pizzas and "Dubai" desserts. The boxes hold chicken and lamb chunks with pakoras, and the mixed tandoori munchiebox is one of them. Curries come with nan and poppadoms. Chicken tikka appears on its own and as a pizza topping, and the pizzas offer half-and-half options. Kebab wraps and doner sit alongside chips, cheese on chips and chicken nuggets. For something sweet, the Dubai brownie joins milkshakes, slushies and ice cream served in tubs in different flavours.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are about order accuracy and some dishes. One regular received an order missing rice, with a second chicken dish instead of a lamb butter masala, a korma that was too spicy and curry containers so hard to open a son resorted to a knife. Another found burnt mini pancakes and a macaroni cheese that was mostly sauce with a mustard taste not listed on the menu, while the nuggets and burger with chips seemed cheaply made. In both cases the cafe responded, remaking the food or clarifying the flavour.

“Edit to my review my issue has been resolved straight away & since had clarification that it was tumeric that we tasted in the macaroni, I appreciate the help in resolving the issue. I have ordered from here multiple times before and loved the food/desserts however this time I received mini pancakes which tasted burnt, the Mac and cheese was horrible it was made up of 80% sauce and very little amount of pasta more like soup with the amount of sauce and had a very strong taste of mustard which wasn't mentioned anywhere in the information about the Mac and cheese. Luckily none of us have an allergy to mustard but it is a major allergy so should have this mentioned in the menu. In the end 2 items out of my order went to waste as they weren't edible. The milkshake and slushie and pizzas were nice , the chicken nuggets/chips, burger/chips were ok but not worth the price as they tasted cheaply made.”

“Staff very helpful, looking for Gluten Free items and pointed out a massive amount of food. Went for half and half chicken Korma and chicken tikka pizza and Margarita pizza. Other 2 non gf had Kebab wrap. The owner was top class and allowed us to try a few bits while waiting for our meals. Including going home with 4 tubs of chocolate and pistachio sauce covered strawberries., very kind of him. 1000% will be back! Far too excited to take pics!”

I went over there 2 times with my family on my vacation they treat me and my family very well whenever I visit over there. I loved that taste and place and I recommend this place to everyone.”
