About Tangerine
Tangerine is a food court in Salford, set under the railway arches at Arch 60-61 and styled as an underground carnival. The venue spreads across multiple rooms, with booth seating alongside catwalk-style seats in the main dining area, and a playlist runs through the space. The Joji menu offers chicken dumpling ramen, and other plates include a Reuben bagel and thin-crust pizza. Coffee is served as well, so the space also suits conversation, working or reading. Plants are on sale inside the venue.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the atmosphere, describing groovy vibes, a fantastic playlist, striking decor and a relaxed but lively feel beneath the railway arches. The food gets nearly as much praise. The pizza is singled out for a thin, light, flavourful crust with a nice char, and the Reuben bagel is called incredible. Close behind are the gyozas and sashimi, described as fresh and flavorful, along with truffle and Parmesan fries, chicken dumpling ramen and kimchi. A few also praise the coffee and the in house drinks. The criticism is scattered but specific. One diner was disappointed by the veggie sushi, one found the drinks on the pricey side, and one father did not like the thicker crust on his pizza. Another felt awkward being the first seated on the catwalk style seats. Staff are called lovely and accommodating, and one party of six was moved without fuss from a table that was too small.

“Groovy vibes, fantastic playlist and delicious food. A perfect spot nestled between the train tracks. Drinks are on the pricey side but probably standard for Manchester. We visited 1pm-ish on a Tuesday in August and there was a fantastic atmosphere. Would recommend the Reuben bagel, absolutely incredible.”

“I'd briefly been in to use the toilets and thought it looked amazing (extra points for the Scooby Doo disco skull), got a quick glimpse of the food and that too looked great. Came back to book a table for my birthday and the waitress was so helpful. We came in today and were sat down at a table a bit too small for a party of 6, so we asked to move and they were more than happy to do so. All of the staff were incredibly accommodating and top notch all round, genuinely can't fault them. Food was great as well with good portion sizes for the price. My Dad isn't keen on thick crust so that would be the only complaint from him, otherwise he was still happy with the rest of the pizza! First time I've gone out of my way to leave a review on a restaurant. Would definitely recommend and I'll be coming back!”

“I have visited this place on last Friday evening. Beautiful atmosphere and cocktails but really disappointed with veggie sushi!”

“Really enjoyed the pizza here. The crust was very thin, light and flavourful, with a nice char around the edges. The whole pizza felt simple but properly done. The vibe of the place is also really good, relaxed but lively, making it a nice spot to come back to for casual food and drinks. Would definitely return.”

“Hidden beneath Manchester's iconic railway arches, Tangerine emerges a bold new venue that fuses flavour, sound, and spectical like nowhere else. Tangerine isn’t just a place to eat – it’s a performance, an underground carnival, a stage for the unexpected where no two visits are the same.”
