Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for Bang Tang, singling out the King Prawns, wontons, crispy halal chicken and vegan Chilli Beef, with one praising how accommodating the staff were about a severe nut allergy. Close behind are the vegan gyros, hot honey chicken burger, chickpea curry chips and a Plus84 rice bowl with dumplings, described as fresh and quick. Diners like the variety of stalls, the outdoor seating over the water, the kids' sandpit and the dog-friendly seating, and the bar staff are called friendly. The recurring complaint is waiting. One reviewer's vegan sweet and sour "chicken" from Bang Tang arrived long after a companion had finished eating, and the pickup point was confusing. Another says the Renata pasta took over 30 minutes and the table asked for a refund. Peak hours are described as busy. One reviewer notes the bottomless coffee, and another was delighted to win three ducks on the duck grabber machine.

“The food at Kargo was great. Lovely location. The highlight for me was winning the ducks on the duck grabber machine! I won three ducks and was chuffed to bits with them. 🦆”

“The vegan sweet and sour "chicken" from Bang Tang was really nice but the wait time was very long so the person I was with has already finished their food by the time mine arrived. Also the pickup point for it was confusing. The vegan gyros was really lovely but the large one was still small. The chickpea curry chips were really good! Large portion.”

“Had an absolutely banging lunch at Bang Tang today. My new favourite spot! The chicken was crispy, fresh and halal. It was covered in loads of flavourful sauce, and the portion size was spot on for the price. Everything tasted fresh, from the rice to the toppings, and the presentation was great too. The location by the water made it even better on a sunny day. Definitely one of the best lunches I’ve had in Manchester recently. Will 100% be coming back and recommending it to friends! 🍗🔥🍚”

“Visited Kargo Market after the dragon boat race. It’s a great family friendly spot, we love the kids' sandpit and nearby Oxygen play area, and the facilities are always spotless, bar staff friendly. We tried Bang Tang and were incredibly impressed. As someone with a severe nut allergy, I was reassured by how accommodating and friendly the two members of staff were. It took over 20 minutes, understandable since they were busy and cooking fresh to order, but it was well worth the wait. The Bang Tang King Prawns, wontons can really taste the difference in their freshly fried prawns and vegan Chilli Beef were all fantastic. A brilliant hidden gem downstairs the food hall, we'll be back!”

“A nice food hall with a good set of food variety, anything from Korean to Palestinian to British, and more. It is quite a big space and during peak hours, can get really busy so expect some wait for food/service. Overall, worth a stop and definitely a nice addition to the area. Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Vibe ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Access ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐”
