Customer Review Summary

Most diners praise the lamb dishes at Ryde Tandoori, with the Lamb Madras and the lamb biriani singled out for flavour, and tasty food is the thread running through the positive reviews. Close behind are the meat thali, the vindaloo chicken and the naan, with reviewers also citing generous portions, reasonable prices and vegetarian options. Several describe friendly, good service, and one says a child who normally avoids spice liked the Kohari from an Uber Eats order. One reviewer feels the thali could improve, though the rice and naan were good. Three reviewers report a very different experience. A long-time customer describes a late takeaway order and a dismissive response when chasing it, and another waited over an hour with calls unanswered. Others say the kitchen got orders wrong: a chicken chat arrived as a chicken kebab with sauce, a chicken tower came with lemon grass, and ordered starters were replaced by gravy dishes.

“Never again will I order 20 years I've been a customer and tonight the order was running very late so when chasing it up I've had one of the workers screaming down the phone telling me to f*** off because they have 100 people in the restaurant and too busy so I should just f*** off all on recorded call so I will now take this Higher”

“1 Star This would be 0 stars if I could. The service was the worst I’ve experienced. The name says "Authentic Indian" but the food and style felt nothing like India — more like a Bangladeshi curry house. We ordered starters and were given gravy dishes instead. After waiting over an hour, our actual order still hadn’t arrived. Staff were dismissive and arrogant, and didn’t answer our calls despite multiple attempts. I do not recommend this place.”

“The food at this Indian restaurant is simply stunning. Have previously tried their takeaway, but have now visited their restaurant. I wish this was my local as the food is so tasty. Highly recommend (especially the Lamb Madras). If you love Indian food and live nearby (or are visiting), just go. You won't be disappointed.”
  • Andrew Tristram
“Do not go to this place they do not know what they are doing. We ordered a chicken in chat and we had a chicken kebab and some sort of sauce. Then we ordered a chicken tower, which ended up having lemon grass in it. I was nothing like a chicken tower and the entire world they have not got a clue. Do you not go here? You will just be wasting your money. They do not know how to cook Asian food.”
