  “One of the tastiest Indian meals that we have had. Everything was freshly cooked, I had a lamb curry the meat was tender and the sauce was exceptional 👌 😋 staff were pleasant and attentive, when holidaying here again we would definitely go for second helpings. Reasonably priced too 10/10 from us 👍”

  “We were away on holiday and ordered a takeaway delivery, service was friendly and efficient price was where I’d expect so all good there. The food I’m sorry to say was average. Simple stuff (naan, poppadoms, rice) all good, the starters and main dishes not so. Keeping it brief they all came with a puddle of orange oil on top that needed pouring off, the Chicken and lamb was honestly very tough and felt like a pre-made sauce had just been reheated in a very oily pan with the meat thrown in on top (Tikka starters similar quality) something I may have enjoyed after beer with the football team in 1995 but not when you spend £90 on a takeaway. It is possible/probable that eating in is a better way to enjoy Masala’s food, but for me not again. Good luck to these guys, but please keep an eye on quality as people do notice”

  “We went for a meal here whilst on holiday in Ventnor. We eat Indian food a lot but I can honestly say that the meal we had at Masala Bay was in the top five Indian meals we’ve ever had. The service was excellent, the portion sizes were large and the taste and quality of food was out of this world. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough and would definitely visit again.”

  “A very good restaurant... A completely different taste in food that we are used too... But it was good, very good, apart from the biryani that I was expecting to be the best in England... Probably the best just in the isle of wight... Would I recommend it🤔 yes I would.. Try it, completely different flavours..”

  “Staying local and wanted a take away for dinner. Ordered from here and was nice. Quick service and delivery, tasty food. Maybe not as flavourful as some curries, but it was still nice.”

  “Reading the reviews - I am seeing quite a lot of criticism on food. Few suggestions for those people. Yes this is a Bangladeshi Restaraunt. You need to set your expectations right. You cannot expect delhi taste here. Like you won’t get the taste of Dhaka in a Delhi Durbar Restaraunt. Another suggestions - ask more generic dishes if you are visiting once as a tourist. Personally for me - was a good experience. Ordered dal tarka and chana masala with naan bread. Staff asked us if we would like it India style spicy to which we said yes. It was tasty and cooked well and spicy enough for our taste buds. Staff was courteous and came thrice after serving to ask if we needed anything. Water was also served without asking. Would recommend this place if you are on the island as a tourist and craving Indian food.”

  “Firstly. I have read a lot of the reviews on here. Some verging on a racist slant. Customers can be of any colour or creed. We are on the Isle of Wight which is mainly ‘white folk’. I have eaten curries from brick lane, Bangalore through Bangladesh/Daka. The worst curry I ever had was in Bangalore. EVER. Also most intelligent people know that an ‘Indian’ restaurant will have Bangladeshi cooks. We won’t go in to the history of it. However the food here is always good. The staff are nice and if you go anywhere during summer season the staff will be rushed and perhaps not as on the ball/polite as they could be. I have eaten here 5 times whilst visiting family and this is the go to Indian for us. Not had one bad meal the people are friendly. Reasonably priced too. Come and visit with an open mind and enjoy a nice curry. We really like it. Not bland at all is ‘white roll’ quite like it 😊”

  “The best Indian restaurant at Ventnor Bay area. Taste was really good, spice level was good. Staff were nice and good service. Ambience was good. The place is really crowded so make sure to book in advance. Highly recommended 😊”
