About Festival Way Fish Bar
In Runcorn at 14a Festival Way, Festival Way Fish Bar is a fish and chips takeaway that pairs the usual chip shop menu with Chinese food. Fish and chips come with haddock, and mushy peas sit alongside them on the menu. Spam fritters appear among the chip shop items, so one order can cover both sides of the menu. Customers can order ahead on the app and collect food that is ready on arrival. The shop gets busy at times.

Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips anchor the praise, with reviewers describing crispy, well-cooked fish, a generously portioned haddock in light batter, and chips one diner finds tastier than those at other Runcorn chippies. Close behind are the thickly cut spam fritters, mentioned by several, along with delicious mushy peas, mushrooms with a crispy coating and salt and pepper chips. A few also point to the Chinese dishes, and one likes the cream soda from the pop man. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and polite, and one regular says they remember orders. The main complaint is order handling. One reviewer says staff forgot a simple order of chips and peas, tried to charge again when it was raised, and left a mother with a bad back standing for a long time. Another says phone and online orders need a queuing system. Parking is described as poor, with customers leaving cars near pathways, though benches outside suit eating there. One large Saturday order came with a free bottle of Diet Coke.

“Awful service they totally forgot us and we only wanted a few chips and peas. Tried to charge us again when we went to tell them and then when explained they realised and had to do it then. Complete waste of over half an hour and my mum has a bad back and had to stand for ages.”
