Customer Review Summary

Noodle boxes draw the most mentions, with one reviewer praising a sweet chilli noodle box, another a chicken noodle box, and a third calling a noodle box really nice. Close behind, several reviewers single out friendly, polite delivery drivers, fresh hot food, and a warm welcome in a clean shop. The criticism is substantial, though. Portions are the recurring complaint: a king prawn chow mein with three prawns, one piece of broccoli and a few onions, and a special noodle box with two small pieces each of prawn, chicken, beef and pork that arrived like mush and almost cold. Another reviewer called the portions terrible once delivery and payment charges were added. Others describe fish with batter hard enough to break a window, burnt peas, and gravy so sweet it left an aftertaste. Several also report complaint calls going badly. One says a woman screamed at them down the phone, one was hung up on after a cheese omelette arrived with ham, and one got no answer.

“Orderd a cheese omelette, they sent cheese and ham. Rang them up. The lady was rude and hung up on me, and the gravy is so sweet, it leaves a bad after taste. We've used this chippy for years. Wont be using it again.”

“Absolutely lovely food. This is my childhood chippy as I used to live on Halton Road. So I wanted to try them again after a few years away. Sadly the portion size is terrible 😢 what a shame. Otherwise it really was lovely food but not worth the money especially when you add delivery and payment charges. I will stick with the old town chippy which is closer not as tasty! Sadly but has great portion sized meals!!”
