  “Terrible customer service. Took my order with attitude and then demanded I pay by cash, and when I said I’d like to pay by card, their attitude turned even more hostile. Walked away without paying or getting the food. Absolutely unacceptable and horrible staff, especially the small guy.”

  “Terrible customer service! I have been a regular customer here for a while now. On the last few occasions however, the staff have been very blunt in requesting cash on payment even after the fact I have told them I don’t carry cash. They advertise card payment online and have a fully functional card machine in the shop also which I have always used many time. Yesterday when I place my order they once again very bluntly stated ‘bring cash’ after I explained once again I don’t carry cash. They proceeded to question this and ask why I don’t have cash. After explaining this. The worker spoke to the manager who advised they would need to cancel our order. We had travelled from Runcorn with a 9 year old child specifically for this. Disgusting customer service. Since this I have checked online and this seems to be consistent across the board with similar kind of service / staff attitude”

  “I have been a regular customer at Top Taste for a long time and have always enjoyed the food, but I am incredibly disappointed after my experience there recently. For the last few weeks, the staff have been aggressively pushing a 'cash only' policy, despite their website clearly advertising that they accept card payments. On my most recent visit, I was pressured to leave the shop to go find a cash machine, despite having no way to do so. When I explained that I only had my phone for payment and could not provide cash, the staff were dismissive and rude, ultimately choosing to cancel my order entirely rather than accommodate a payment method they officially advertise. My 9-year-old daughter was left hungry after we had specifically travelled to Frodsham for this meal. It is completely unacceptable for a business to refuse service and subject customers to this kind of harassment over a payment preference that contradicts their own website. I will not be returning after this experience.”

  “My son has posted an additional review related to our joint experience today with an in shop order around 5pm today Saturday 11/07/26. After being in Frodsham for a couple of hours my son and I went to Top Taste and ordered 2x special kebabs, one each to take home separately. Cost £39. My son dropped me off at my home then drove to his in Macclesfield. Upon my getting home I opened my bag to find two salads and 4 sauces. I called my son to check his bag, when he got home he found he had 2x grilled meat. We could not return them as he lives 30 miles away. Basically after calling Top Taste to complain about the mixed order I was told that I was just after a free meal. I have ordered from top taste off and on for very many years but depending on staff or management the service changes significantly. Anyway will not be going there again in the long term future. If you order check your bag before you leave. We were clear about two separate orders, also when my son checked the two grills they were greasy and way below their quality of the past. We won’t make the same mistake twice whilst it is under this management. Hopefully you will do better.”

  “Ordered two special grills for me and my father. However after after requesting the meals to be separated they were mixed up, as a result upon getting home one of us has all of the salad and the other all of the meat. The food itself was very dry, tough and chewy with the donor meat being extremely greasy and tasteless.”

  “To start l, I didnt purchase as order was purchased by my partner so just gave 5⭐️ on that. Wasn't impressed though with food, the donner meat was anaemic and no taste to it, held the chili and garlic sauce back till I'd tasted the mixed kebab and to be fair, overpriced and not a lot of taste going on there either, once the sauces added was just anout palatable so on that for the price paid I'd say avoid unless you're looking for a feed after a belly full of ale, which is what kebabs are for. Sober no, beered up yes”

  “Ordered a large chicken kebab, hardly any meat! Paid for fries but they didn't enclose them. Tons of water in the tray! Wet soggy lettuce. Yuk....”

  “Gutted to be writing this review but it has to be known. I use to love getting a takeout here i rated it 5 stars in the past, never would I ever step foot in this establishment again. Ordered a 14" calzone, 10" mixed meat pizza and a large fries. Ill Start by saying the food was fresh and tasted nice thats where it goes down hill.... I've never ordered a calzone from here but decided to give it a go because I love their donner meat. Daylight robbery, take a look at the photos, 4 pieces had absolutely nothing in and another piece had a very tiny amount so 5 pieces of dough. The middle 5 pieces where the donner meat was is just about verging on acceptable but still i would concider shady. They charged me £12.80 for this calzone and it had less meat in it than any local shop that sells 9" infact I've had well more in a 9" calzone. The calzone was worth £7 at a push no one wants to buy 14inches of dough. Its Clear to me that this a regular occurance in this shop for calzones because the guy who made it was overlooked by 2 colleagues and the manager. On realising I had been shorted of a large amount of donner meat I calmly entered the store to query the small size of the calzone and to question where the meat was. The manager and two colleagues assured me that it was right it was infact 14" and that the amount of meat was correct, then one of their collegues tried to bare face lie to me and say there was plenty of meat in it and that it was just all squashed down....... this was after the fact i pointed at multiple pieces with zero meat in and then shown him how flat the others were, it was like we were looking at a different thing. They could see I was not happy and I told them I'll never order a calzone ever again to which they didn't seem fazed, no resolution was offered they didn't seem to care at all. I left and decided that infact I'll never order from this place again, they had chance to rectify it and bare faced lied to me and ripped me off, their is other reviews on here which are similar to mine in regards to the tiny portions. Knowing the amount of money these places make from one spik of donner meat is what makes it even more upsetting, it wasnt accidentle it was intentional and then backed up with lies. You only realise how important you are as a customer or how valued you are to a business once you've made a complaint. Total cost of the meal was almost £25, i was fobbed off and ripped off an I travelled from Runcorn to buy this food from here which makes it even worse. I will not support any business that operates like this. On speaking to other friends an family they seem to share the same opinion as me about how small their donner meat portions are.... This review is honest and fair and reflects my experience within this store. Fool me once but you won't fool me twice, avoid.”

  “Ordered a 12 inch custom pizza and a regular chicken kebab. Plus a portion of chips. Would recommend this to others. Pizza was nice. Full olives not sliced. Pizza base was like it was cooked in a pan rather than a flat surface making the base go up round the sides which was reminiscent of pizza hut. Not too bready. Not thin either. Kebab was the best I've had in a while. Great charcoal smokey flavour. Go larger if you want more. Chips were obviously from packet. Nothing to shout about there. Maybe a bit dry/too crisp but that us all. Collected and was ready after a 10 min drive.”
