  “Me and my wife called in for a drink this dinner time there were about 12 people in and it took me nearly 5 minutes to get served! The San Miguel I had was flat my wife wanted tomatoe juice which they didn’t have so she had a lemonade which was also flat all for the price of £8-95!! Awful place avoid at at costs!!!”

  “Had the carvery. Very nice. Good price. Wasn't very busy. Went on a weekend lunch time but might be an idea to book in the summer holidays and with the football. Will definitely go again.”

  “From get go was a bad experience! We went to pictures and thought to end they day out with a meal here how wrong was we to go here. We pre-booked a table online as we did not know how busy it might be.... We turned up to be in a queue waiting to be seen..people in front of us had been stood their longer than us we was stood about 10 minutes which is somewhat fine if they were too busy and acknowledged and said we will be as soon as we can. The people asked are we going to get seated which the staff behind the bar could see us all waiting just said just sit anywhere. So we all walked off to which we looked for ours which we booked an outdoor seating in the huts. They was dirty, full of ants and the heating lamp was unplugged and not usable. Which defeated the object of booking it! So we decided to sit inside. We found seating inside but all the tables did not look like had been wiped for a while was very sticky and unkempt. We ordered our food and drinks. Took 20 mins for drinks to come, all of them were ok except the purple rain pitcher they was very skimpy on filling the jug 3/4 full and was a small jug not a pitcher you expect to get when you go to weather spoons you get massive ones for cheaper! Then to bring dirty glasses too. Ten minutes later our starters come which they was ok not brilliant. Not once did staff ask if we ok or if we were enjoying what we was eating. Or at any point collecting our starter plates...... So we sat waiting for our main courses... An hour passed nothing. So we ordered more drinks, that took another 20 minutes to come. For us to get a pitcher but again was skimpy at not filling the pitcher not even 3/4 full! Then still no main course so I went up and asked a member of staff for them to not be bothered or come to let me know they had sorted it or anything. About 15 minutes later our food came, which a lady was apologetic and said sorry about the wait and when we have finished they would refund us a round of drinks for the inconvenience which we thought was nice. Our starter plates for taken when our main course came to the table! Most of the food was luke warm, bland, burnt, soggy and inedible. So I went up as discreetly as possible explained the situation, explained I was not happy. The lady without hesitation refunded us for all of the food, which I explained we left majority of our meals and would not be returning. She sorted out the fund, explained what happens then I went back to the table to finish our drinks and left!”

  “Came yesterday Monday lunchtime have been before but this visit the staff were very friendly and the guy serving the carvery was very good and professional. The food was lovely and all the veg was great.”

  “Absolutely shocking experience, ordered 2 ultimate mixed grills while taking our children to the play area, food came all the meat was cold, hottest part of the dish was the peas, Gravey that was served with it was sour and never tasted anything like it. Drinks didn't arrive with the order, had to ask for them half way through the food, then 10 mins after we ate we had to go to the till to ask for the deserts that was also part of the order, Unsure if this is a system problem but was the worst dining experience I've ever witnessed. Will never return”

  “We have taken our Grandson to Wacky Warehouse at Parkgate for over a year, he started school last September so the visits stopped until we now have a new grandson and have started our visits again. We are always greeted with a smile from Nicola and her service is fabulous. She works so hard is always polite, professional and has a great manor with the children ( and parents/grandparents)”

  “The two ladies Laura and Kat in the play area were amazing today! Full of smiles really helpful. My daughter who can struggle in social settings kept telling me how wonderful the ladies were. Thank you for making our experience today wonderful. Kids meals were amazing.”

  “The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is for the only fact that the meat slices are not to the standard of size not thickness. And the roast potatoes was not very nice at all. But all round the meat was cooked well an the veg was lovely. Gravy gorgeous/onion. I know from working in a carvery pub that the slices of meat should be to a certain weight but what was given was not a slice. Maybe a chef that's had more experience would know this.. keep up the good work and the friendly service. Well enjoyed after a days fishing”

  “This is my favourite place to eat, the staff are so welcome. You feel chilled and relaxed. It’s very tidy when you walk in, one thing I did notice was at the end of the carving station needed cleaning but I do understand times are busy.”
