Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers return for the food, which several call delicious and spot on, and some describe visiting for years, one family for 12. The halal menu and desserts get specific mention, and one family says the kitchen blends the dishes they choose into pureed meals so their wheelchair-using son can eat out with them. Staff are described as friendly and accommodating, and the room works for big groups and was not crazy and noisy on one birthday visit. The caveats concern consistency. One reviewer found the masala fish bland and dry, with barely any spice. Sent back, it returned looking like the same piece, with the explanation that the usual fryer had been praying. Another says the food has drastically changed from what it used to be. A couple note the room is dark and stuffy on a warm day, and parking is just enough at weekends. Even the unhappy diner called the staff polite and welcoming.

“I was really disappointed with my visit to Cocos near Sandbrook Park in Rochdale. I ordered the masala fish, but it was incredibly bland. There was barely any seasoning or spice, and it just tasted like plain battered fish that had been fried. It was also quite dry, with none of the flavour you'd expect from a masala fish dish. I sent it back because I genuinely thought there must have been a mistake. Unfortunately, what came back appeared to be the very same piece of fish. I was told that the person who normally fries the fish had been praying and that it had now been done properly, but there was no noticeable difference. It was still lacking flavour. In my opinion, the food seems to be aimed more at people who prefer very mild, basic flavours. If you're expecting authentic Pakistani or Indian-style food with rich spices and bold seasoning, you may find it disappointing. It simply didn't have the depth of flavour I was hoping for. The staff were polite, friendly and welcoming, which is the only positive from my visit. However, good service can't make up for food that doesn't meet expectations. For the price, I expected much better quality and much more flavour. Sadly, I won't be returning, and I'd rather travel a little further to somewhere that serves authentic, well-seasoned food.”

“This place is the best place for food in Rochdale. The food is cooked to perfection. The place is wheelchair friendly and there is plenty of space to move the wheelchair around. The staff are so friendly and do an absolutely amazing job. Our son is a wheelchair user and has quite a few medically related problems. We take our son with us all the time to Coco's. He loves it there. Our son can only eat pureed food, and the staff there always go above and beyond to cater to his needs. They actually blend all the food we choose for him to eat and therefore he can enjoy a nice meal out with the whole family. Thank you so much to the management and the staff at Coco's for making sure our Son can enjoy his time out with the whole family and for making it an enjoyable meal and experience for him. It is so hard to take him out. We have to be so careful because of his health. This is the only place that caters to his needs and makes the whole meal a lovely experience. We will be going back in October for his birthday.”
