About The Botanical Brasserie

“They kick you out if you want only desserts + drinks.”

“Very disappointed with afternoon tea. Sandwiches tasteless and boring, scones tiny, one small jam for 2 guests. Cakes small and weird choice and only one hot drink! Very bad value for money. It seems this is a regular comment but nothing changes or is addressed.”

“Great view, great service. Food was overpriced and forgettable. Table of 10, ordered almost everything.”

“£15 for a cream tea at Kew Gardens’ Botanical Brasserie, plus a £1.50 service charge. The tea was perfectly nice, but the two scones were absolutely tiny. I expect to pay a bit of a premium somewhere like Kew, but £16.50 for a cream tea with scones this small just doesn’t feel like good value. Kew can do better. You’re brilliant at growing things. Perhaps let the scones grow a little too? 🌱”

“Great wait staff let down by the food This spot has potential, but the food fell flat. It felt as though delicious sauces were watered down before serving. The spinach and rocket salad with blue cheese was tasteless, and the heritage tomatoes lacked flavor despite looking pretty. While the stone bass was cooked perfectly, the accompanying bean cassoulet was underwhelming and bland. It might be that this place works best for cakes and tea. As for the staff they were faultless”
