Quick info
About Nutty Butty
Nutty Butty is a sandwich shop at 66a Fishergate in Preston, two minutes from Preston station and near the council offices. The chicken sandwiches are made from whole roast chickens that the team shreds in the shop. Customers choose their bread, such as a barm or a baton, and add a sauce like brown sauce. The hot baton filled with beef, cheddar and Stilton is one of the hot options, and the breakfast butties come on a barm or other bread. Lavazza coffee is served as a latte, with honey or brown sugar options. Cold food, drinks and snacks sit alongside the hot menu.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast butties draw the most praise, especially the bacon and egg barm, where one reviewer calls the bacon delicious and the egg cooked perfectly. A hot baton of beef, cheddar and Stilton is also called delicious, and another reviewer watched two whole roast chickens being shredded for the chicken sandwiches, which they take as proof everything is made fresh. Lavazza coffee is described as excellent, and one latte drinker liked its temperature and the honey. Service is repeatedly called friendly and quick, and one reviewer notes the lots of choices of hot and cold food, drinks and snacks. Several reviewers are travellers or workers who value the shop being close to the station and council offices, with one calling it convenient and well-priced. The only criticism comes from one reviewer who wished for two or three bar stools to eat in, while acknowledging the person serving was very busy. That same reviewer asked for a little brown sauce on the bacon sandwich and got exactly that little amount.

“What you want. How you want it. I really wanted a good bacon sandwich and a hot coffee after driving from Wales for almost 2 hours. I asked for a bacon and egg sandwich and chose a barm, as batons can sometimes be sharp and was asked which sauce to pop on top. I asked for a little bit of brown sauce and that's exactly the amount I got, which is great for me. The lady gave me time to choose which coffee to order, and offered my favourite options of brown sugar and honey. The latte was a very good temperature and didn't scald my hand or tongue, the honey was great. Desmond the brown Spaniel dog was happy to get a pat on the head and a treat from his boss. The only thing to add would be 2 or 3 bar stools so I could have my breakfast there. But the lady was very busy and maybe there were stools to sit on in the kitchen area, as she was setting up 'and life gets into the Way'. Try Nutty Butty, it's charismatic and friendly.
