Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise flavoursome curries and friendly staff, with the korma singled out as thick, creamy and pretty much unbeatable. Close behind are the starters, where one diner raves about lamb tikka chops with a vegetable curry sauce, fresh onion bhajis and a chicken chat. Others name the honey chicken, Honey Badam, Garlic Bhuna and a Razai with a good portion size, plus soft, well seasoned naan and tender meat. Diners describe the food as nicely presented and not at all greasy, and one large group enjoyed the party menu with the bar next door. The main criticism comes from a single reviewer, who found the piri piri curry lacked any piri piri taste and came in a smaller portion, and who kept hearing the entrance doors slamming. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one diner's chicken tikka masala special was made hot on request with no problem.

“Food was tasty and well presented. Naan breads were soft and well seasoned, the meat in the curry was tender. The piri piri curry was nice. It didn't have a piri piri taste in my opinion and the portion was on the smaller side. The Razai was very tasty and the portion size by contrast was good. Prices of a meal with rice or naan around £18-21. Drinks reasonable at £3 for a soft drink and £4-5 for a pint. The atmosphere and service were good, except the gas cylinders on the entrance doors need sorting because we kept hearing the door slamming.”
