About Spice of India Cuerdley
Spice of India Cuerdley is an Indian restaurant in Inn, on Widnes Rd, housed in a converted former pub. The kitchen serves Indian cuisine ordered course by course, with starters, mains and sides chosen as separate dishes. A set menu is also available, including a five-course deal that lays out the whole meal in one order. The restaurant can be busy at times, so a table may not always be free the moment a party arrives.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly staff and the food, praised as authentic, delicious and cooked perfectly, with generous portions. Close behind is value, with the five course deal and the set menu shared between two described as fantastic prices. Several mention the large car park and say the place is clean and the decor lovely. One regular returning to visit family says the quality has stayed consistent over years, with starters, mains and sides all arriving hot and fresh. The main criticisms concern pace and one dish. One diner found the bhaji overcooked and dry, suspected it was pre cooked, and felt rushed when mains followed very quickly, describing the visit as fast food with quick turnover. Another thought the keema tasted odd and possibly not fresh. One reviewer who turned up without a booking was seated immediately but noted the restaurant was extremely busy and advised booking. Several praise the service, with one saying no request was an issue.

“I've been visiting **Spice of India in Widnes** for years, and every time I'm back visiting family, this is always our first choice for a meal. It has never let us down. On this visit, there were three of us, and we ordered a selection of starters, main courses, and sides. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavour. The starters were a great way to begin the meal, and the mains were cooked perfectly with generous portions. The sides complemented the dishes really well, and every plate was thoroughly enjoyed. One thing that really stands out is the consistency. No matter how many times we've visited over the years, the quality of the food has always been excellent. It's clear they take pride in what they serve. The service is also impressive. Our food was ready in around 30 minutes, which is fantastic considering the quality and freshness of the meals. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Indian food in Widnes, I can't recommend Spice of India enough. Great food, reliable service, generous portions, and consistently high standards every time we visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!”

“Visited for early tea tonight. Starters arrived within minutes or ordering Bhaji overcooked and dry. Suggested had been pre cooked. Mains arrived very quickly Felt rushed. As usual most staff polite and courteous but sadly felt like fast food and quick turnover. Not relaxing”

“Wow this place is beautiful, came to visit as i was passing by to go watch warrington wolves game, staff very friendly, all locals from my area haha which surprised me as i drove 1 hour to get here, just shows how much effort they putting in daily to look after the place and community. The decor is lovely inside, the food was nice only thing to improve would be the keema, it was a bit weird tasting maybe it wasn't fresh who knows, or maybe poorly marrinated, thats the only improvement to make, cleanliness was brilliant everything was very clean, highly recommend this place, i will be back soon when im in the area, also liked the huge car park love restuarants with big car parks like this.”
