Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the service, describing a family run restaurant where the owner is attentive, staff are polite and friendly, and a couple without a booking were seated straight away. The food draws matching enthusiasm. A repeat diner calls the slow cooked beef bhuna totally delicious, and another praises the lamb in the lamb madras. Others mention warm poppadoms, good starters, fresh crisp chips, and mains with a lovely balance and generous meat. One reviewer notes that waiting times stay good even in busy periods. A single sharply negative review runs against this pattern. It calls the food inedible and far from authentic Indian, with the chicken and meat in the dishes described as scraps. Other diners describe fresh food and flavors that were spot on. One group shared a spread of dips in metal bowls with freshly baked naan topped with herbs and green chilies, washed down with a cold beer in a branded glass.

“Had a fantastic meal at this spot on George Street. Everything was served fresh and the flavors were absolutely spot on. We shared a variety of dishes, and it was the perfect way to try a bit of everything. The spread was impressive, especially the metal bowls of dips and the freshly baked naan topped with herbs and green chilies. It really added a nice kick to the meal. We washed it all down with a cold beer in a branded glass, which was the perfect accompaniment to the food. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Saint Helens.”
