Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out slow, stretched service on busy nights, and it outweighs everything else they raise. One diner waited through a long gap for dessert after the tiramisu "hadn't set", then found the desserts on the bill. Others describe a lone staff member struggling, empty glasses left uncleared, no table water or spoons for spaghetti, and two mains sent back. Cramped tables are noted too. The food draws more consistent praise: the garlic bread, the focaccia on the antipasti board, the pizza, and the Gamberoni, which one first-time visitor called the best dish. Complaints about the kitchen are more mixed, including tough, chewy beef ribs, a seafood risotto with only one prawn and three mussels, and pink chicken sent back. One celiac reviewer reports receiving ordinary pasta instead of the gluten free bolognese they had preordered, and says it caused a reaction. Several reviewers describe friendly, welcoming staff, and some say the portions were generous. Recoveries include a free dessert for the ribs, a complimentary liqueur, and a glass of Prosecco for an anniversary.

“Party of five. No-one had any complaints about their food. Relaxed, warm, friendly atmosphere. Sole member of staff did all she could to keep service going, but ultimately, it became slow and disjointed as the place became busier. That undermined the dining experience somewhat.”

“Firstly , the food is always good here , however what it consistently fails to deliver is the little details that could make it a far better experience for everyone . There never seems to be a front of house that proactively manages anything , the staff dont seem to know the menu , or appear to have been trained correctly - no table water offered , no spoons provided with spaghetti (and it’s an Italian restaurent), two of the mains were sent back as they weren’t correct, no small plates offered for a shared starter , had to ask for pepper, empty glasses not cleared , no one checked to see if we wanted to order more drinks and so on. It’s a shame , and clearly a staff training and management issue. Up your game please as your food is just about holding you in there .”

“Sorry to leave a negative review but my pasta was undercooked and given to the wrong person. I am a celiac and preordered a gluten free bolognese. My dish was given to another member of our group who tucked in early. My un gluten dish arrived shortly after. I soon realised that I was eating normal pasta with the tell tale tingle in the mouth and very quickly accelerating heart burn. There is a breakdown in coms from the kitchen to delivery staff. Maybe a flag in the food stating the allergy. Secondly when we swapped meals my pasta was dry and undercooked. The sauce seemed un authentic and lacking herbs and seasoning - almost dolmio? , the mince had a pork like texture. I left my dish but was not asked once is everything OK. The majority of the group enjoyed their dish of choice. One sent pink chicken back. Overall lacked authenticity, dry and lack of sauce / meat. Lack of herbs. Pizza was delicious as was the chicken dish my wife had. The staff are wonderfull but need to check on quality after delivery and there needs to be a warning from kitchen to staff on allergens. Beautiful place with some teething problems. I left the place hungry. I won't return until I hear of zero inconsistencies and more customer care by a simple 5 minute check after delivery. Also, got billed for 2 coffees which never arrived.”
