  “Not good. Food took ages to come, we had all finished our drinks waiting. Food arrived at different times for our grandchildren and us. Some food missing on children's order , had to ask twice. Came eventually after other food eaten. Ours came after they had finished theirs and was stone cold , obviously been forgotten about. A few other people were also complaining. We were offered fresh food but as our grandchildren had finished theirs left with a refund for ours. Not the best experience. We've been here on many occasions.”

  “Our charity Eye to Eye Counselling was supported by Gatto today by holding a well-being event downstairs and providing free tea and coffee. Chris was our contact person for the day and he went all out to make sure we had a great day. Very kind friendly knowledgable and supportive. We all had a meal and drink afterwards and the food and service for a large group was excellent. Massive thank you to you all”

  “We had a fantastic meal here for our daughter’s 12th birthday. There was a group of 12 of us. The food was fantastic and the girls loved the bubble tea and mocktails. The waiter, Chris, was brilliant and he went above and beyond to make the occasion memorable. He got the whole restaurant involved in singing happy birthday to our daughter and she felt very special. I’ve eaten at Gatto Lounge many times and it has always been an excellent standard of food and service. Chris in particular is a standout waiter there. Will def be back!”

  “A nice visit overall. Staff were polite and friendly and food and drinks arrived promptly and we were happy with the food, although I could’ve done with more chips. The table wasn’t cleared for over an hour afterwards though and it was also confusing who worked there and who didn’t because there were no uniforms and staff were dressed casually in rugby shirts etc”

  “Very disappointed with our visit to Gato Lounge. We spent £45 on two burgers and three non-alcoholic drinks, which felt like bad value. The burger lacked flavor and the chip portions were tiny. Worst of all, we found insects inside the vinegar bottle after finishing our meal. When I pointed this out at the counter, the server didn't apologise, and didn't offer a refund—they just tried to order another meal (and was quite rude) when it was too late. It's a shame because the venue is nice, but I would not recommend.”

  “Gatto Lounge in Pontypridd is another great venue from the Lounge chain. I always enjoy visiting these places and there are plenty of vegan options on the menu. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming, and while the pints are a little pricey, that seems to be the case almost everywhere these days. It is well located at the top end of Pontypridd High Street with easy access to the park nearby. If you are in the area, it is well worth stopping in for a drink or some food.”

  “Had a three plate tapas. Would show you a pic but I just couldn't wait. The missus had Dan Dan chicken noodles and thoroughly enjoyed it... as did the dog.”

  “Food can be very hit or miss when it comes to the breakfast/brunch menu and I feel as though it is very overpriced. This toastie below cost me £11 which seems insane looking at it. I have never once had an evening meal that I haven’t enjoyed and do believe the prices are worth it when it comes to ordering mains, sides, etc (but not breakfast). Staff are friendly, but I have had two quite awkward interactions with two different members of staff which involved odd comments, one being where a girl made a comment about me being “boring” for not wanting avocado on my burger, then bringing it to the table announcing, “one boring burger”. I wish I could say it was playful, but not even she seemed to laugh at her own joke.”

  “This restaurant bar is located by the river Taff, with a view through the expansive open plan windows, of the lovely Ynysangharad Memorial Park, over the bridge. It is vibrant and well served by the friendly staff. There is also a quieter area downstairs. There is a good standard menu. There are also full gluten free and vegan menus to meet the needs of all, with good quality food, complemented by a comprehensive range of drinks.”
