Quick info
About West Park Chippy
West Park Chippy is a fish and chips takeaway in Plymouth, on Crownhill Rd, with an attached café next door that has its own separate seating for customers who want to eat in. The fish includes haddock and lemon sole, and the menu also lists a potato surprise, written on some listings as spicy spuds. Ice creams and thick shakes are sold alongside the main menu. The shop is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. A delay can build up when it is busy, and orders can be phoned in ahead to cut the waiting time.

“Awesome chippy, great food and super clean. The staff are efficient and try to get the orders out quickly, but sometimes there is a delay due to the amount of customers. Highly recommend.”

“Food was fine. Come here regularly. The gobby owners think it’s okay to speak to the staff like they are worthless tho! Makes customers uncomfortable. Need a reality check.”

“The burger meat was still red. Tasted like the smell of a farm. Spuds were dry. Chips were probs the only good thing”

“The actual ladies in the chip shop today around 12 were delightful. And as I had my 18th old granddaughter with me and it was cold. The lady asked if I would want to sit with my granddaughter in the cafe part next door so she could eat her chips. How lovely I thought! We went next door to be then informed by one assistant that I needed to leave? I asked why?! As the lady in the chip shop said we could sit in the cafe. This lady then said that I shouldn’t have been told that! And I had to leave as I didn’t purchase the chips inside the cafe even though the cafe and chip shop are one of the same. I decided I was not going to do this and drag my granddaughter out in the cold I purchased two drinks so my granddaughter could eat her chips. Very poor customer service and conflicting information. I will not use again and will inform family and friends of what happened today. Two ladies in the chip shop totally lovely. Not so much the cafe staff.”
