Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply on Wok N Roll, with the chicken balls the most consistently named item: one calls them nice and crispy, another says they were ok, and a third counted only five in an order. Praise centers on hot, freshly made food, a sweet and sour sauce one reviewer rates the best they have had, and ribs, fried rice and salt and pepper fries. One diner says a request for spicy was actually followed, and another notes the delivery drivers were swift. The complaints carry real weight. Long-time customers describe shrunken portions, thin house curry, a special chow mein with tiny bits of meat, and a delivery that took far too long. Others call the noodles dry or tasting like they came from a washing machine, and the crispy spicy beef neither crispy nor spicy. One reviewer reports that two people felt sick after a chicken chow mein they say was undercooked. Another says the food was inedible and thrown away, and that no compensation was offered when they contacted Just Eat. One reviewer wished the takeaway took cards.

“From the outside, you could easily overlook this place, but the food is genuinely top tier. Finally found a Chinese takeaway that actually listened when I asked for it spicy, which surprisingly seems rare these days. The salt and pepper fries were seriously good too. Everything was packed with flavour. Thanks guys, definitely see you again soon.”

“lovely people! bad food :( crispy spicy beef was definitely not crispy or spicy and mcdonald's has better "beef" noodles taste like they've been cooked in a washing machine decent prawn crackers tho probably more of a chips and curry sauce place than a chinese”

“We have ordered from this place so many times and it’s always amazing!! We ordered last night and it was awful. It’s never been bad before but last night was inedible and we had to throw the food away. We reached out though just eat and no compensation was offered”

“Worst meal i have ever purchased, the noodles were drier than the Sahara, the duck tasted about 3 days old, the prawn toast was like drinking oil although the chicken balls were ok, the curry sauce was bland, spent £30 for 2 people and I'm still hungry”

“We have used this chinese a couple times in the past and it was fine but my son bought two chow meins a chicken one and a vegetable one, fried rice and a mushroom omelette last night as we had a long day. Unfortunately none of it was good as his chicken needed more cooking and the vegetables had hardly touched the pan by the looks and taste of it. Both my son and i were sick a short while after and his girlfriend who had the omelette was up most of the night. Needless to say we wont be returning.”
