About The Ferry Inn, Pembroke Dock
On Pembroke Ferry in Pembroke Dock, The Ferry Inn is a riverside pub on the River Cleddau estuary, with a Cocktail Shack as part of the setup. The pub reopened in February 2022 after a full refurbishment under new management. Welsh ales are on the bar, and the kitchen serves a Sunday roast with pork belly, roast beef and roast lamb among the options, along with generous sides of vegetables. Fish and chips and cheesecake round out the menu, and a gluten-free menu is available. Dogs are welcome, and the pub takes private parties for groups. A small customer car park sits to the left just before the pub.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast draws the most praise, with diners singling out the pork belly, roast beef and roast lamb, generous sides and a large portion of freshly cooked vegetables. Close behind are the big mains, including a 10oz steak, haddock, a huge fish and chips, and a fresh curry served with poppadom, naan bread and lime pickle. One reviewer calls the cheesecake fantastic. Reviewers repeatedly mention the river views and outside seating, along with warm, friendly staff who looked after a group of eight. The main complaint is inconsistent cooking. One table of eight found the chips, onion rings and cod all had a funny taste, which they put down to old fryer oil. Another reviewer called the food average, with a vegetable curry containing only onions and peppers and nachos with hardly any topping. Dog owners describe a friendly reception, and one says staff cooked chicken breasts for their dogs.

“Excellent food, very well presented and at a good price. The pub has a great 'old pub' feel and the views outside over the river are amazing. Thr service was excellent and very attentative. Great place and definately will be going back”

“Had lunch with the wife there 06/08/26, 10oz steak for her and haddock for me; neither of us finished due to the size of the meal and the fact we wanted dessert. The cheesecake was fantastic, probably the best I have had including from places like the Cheesecake Factory in Miami.”

“Our visit was truly exceptional! The food was delicious, and every member of staff was incredibly polite and friendly. One woman, with a bandana and orange hair, particularly stood out. We were in town for the eclipse, and she went above and beyond, sharing her eclipse glasses and expertly explaining the phenomenon to both adults and children in such an engaging way. Her kindness created an amazing, joyful environment for everyone. The entire team was efficient, helpful, and had a wonderful sense of humor. The food was impeccable, and they even prepared chicken breasts for our dogs, which we greatly appreciated - truly going the extra mile to ensure everyone, including our fur babies, was well-cared for. They excelled at keeping everyone safe especially remidning children to not look at the sun, happy, and well-informed throughout our visit. This is a fantastic place highly recomend, and we'll definitely be returning! The beautiful estuary, with its impressive yachts and lots of cool speedboats, along with the lovely sunshine, made for a perfect holiday experience.”

“The food was average, the children's chicken bites were very tasty but the vegetable curry only contained onions and peppers and the nachos were very poor with hardly any topping. On the plus side, the fish and chips was huge and the tagine was flavoursome. They also had a gf menu. We sat outside and there was lots of space but it was quite windy so it was full inside. The service was good though. Nice views.”
