  “★ Very Disappointing & Made Us Sick – Avoid We visited for Sunday lunch hoping for a nice family meal, and left absolutely regretting it. The service was sloppy from the start – our order was wrong, we were told we never asked for a side dish we clearly ordered, and it only turned up as we were about to walk out. Worst of all, the food made us ill. Within minutes of leaving, my young son was violently sick right outside the door. We rushed him to hospital, and shortly after I was also vomiting up the meal we’d eaten. My pregnant wife now has to have medical checks as a precaution. This wasn’t just bad food – it was dangerous. When we spoke to the manager, there was no real apology, no offer of a refund, and zero concern for our wellbeing. We paid £80 for what turned out to be a miserable, stressful afternoon and a trip to hospital. We’ve been regulars here for years, roast was definitely microwaved due to all different temperatures of the meal wasnt even like a Sunday roast when asked staff was our meal microwave they didn’t know how to respond we had 2 adults roast and 1 kids roast but we will never step foot in this place again. Save your money and your health – go somewhere else.”

  “We booked with the assumption that the 40% discount would have gone towards the Sunday roast dinner but was then told on ordering that it wasn't part of the offer. Sunday roast was ok (it's been better) bit dry and lacked gravy. But would go back in the future. Hawkstone IPA was very good as was the "Cruzumpo" lager.”

  “Lost coins should be called Lost Cause. We were a party of 6 on a Thursday Evening. We booked a table for 7pm. All seemed to be going smoothly till we ordered the food. On the Marstons App of Lost coins it says if you purchase 2 large glasses of wine you get a 3rd free. When asking our server/ waitress, her answer was she hadn't heard of it. When we asked to speak to the manager his reply was the same. When we said its on your app, he replied he was too busy to look. We placed our order for starters and Mains at 7.30pm. We asked at 8.15pm how long it would be, for our starters to arrive. When they arrived at 8.30pm it was obvious the food had sat under a hot lamp. I could go on and on but I won't. The long and short of this is the manager and staff need to do a course in customer care skills. This place should be brilliant but sadly its run by a rude manager and staff who follow his lead.I emailed Marstons directly about a previous problem we had, sadly we never had a reply from them. So that says it all. It's not our first visit to this establishment, however its now our last. The final straw that broke the camels back. If it wasn't for the fact we had a 40% off the food order we wouldn't have paid for the food as it was awful.”

  “Called for sunday lunch wasn't busy so was hoping it would be nice an fresh an hot. Wrong the beef was micro an was like leather the mixed grill partner had was steak still bloody asked for medium to well. The sausage didnt look cooked at all we paid £68.20 for 3 meals dont think I will be back there p”

  “Where to start? We ordered using the QR code, simple order, of 4 adults,all main meals, and one child’s meal - in spite of paying for it, we never got one of the meals. The food when it came was inedible. It was wall to wall batter all the way. So - zero table service, missing meal and awful food. Clearly no skill in the kitchen. Avoid.”

  “The restaurant was busy with very limited staff. However, we were served in a timely manner. The waitress was kind, friendly and attentive. The food came out without too much of a wait which was great considering how busy the kitchen was. There were 7 of us eating, and we all said how delicious the food was. Well done to all who were on duty yesterday. Everything ran efficiently and effectively.”

  “Always lovely food and a good menu choice for gluten intolerance like myself. Food for my intolerance is served separately to that of my partner so I know utmost care has been taken. Our waiter , a gentleman in his late 40s possibly, is always so helpful and pleasant , a real asset to the company. Being able to book our table online is also very helpful as it can get very busy. Very happy with our visit”

  “Great place to stop off food is great service is always good and price point is spot on. Really can't fault them on a side note even just to stop off for a coffee before heading towards Aberystwyth when you need a break will be returning. Only found it by chance and have been using it when in the area plenty of parking and outdoor area is great 👍.”
