  “One of the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Soggy. Bland no taste. Everything tasted the same. They got my order wrong added extra items I didn't ask for. Paid for them too. Too far back to walk when I'd realise after it being 52 quid. Gave it the sea gulls. Devon is beautiful but you need to work on your chippy's down there. Especially if it's fresh. Don't think the oil had been changed for a while.”

  “We enjoyed delicious banana blossom vegan fish and chips, the fish was well seasoned and wrapped in seaweed to give it that fishy taste. We also enjoyed the curry sauce an onion rings. The service was excellent! Would highly recommend.”

  “My wife and I had a wonderful seafood lunch at this lovely restaurant in Paignton today. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, and the seafood was exceptionally fresh, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Katie, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She shared that this is a family-run business founded by Roy in 1971. She also explained that the chef visits the local seafood market every morning to personally select the freshest catch of the day, ensuring only the highest-quality ingredients are served. You can truly taste the difference. Overall, this restaurant offers excellent food, outstanding service, reasonable prices, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended to anyone looking for superb fresh seafood in Paignton!”

  “Brilliant table service by friendly staff , love the choice of local fish which you can have done a number of ways including grilled and poached as well as traditional fry. We come back to the chip shop once a year on our holiday to the area and the standard is always high. The eat in is very low key no frills atmosphere but the produce is excellent- great value ! Thanks again!”

  “I was recommended by the locals as there was a few chippy's in the area. As a first-time customer at London Fryer, I was genuinely impressed! They even had a fresh fish board so I have to try, The food was fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection , but what really made the experience stand out was how lovely and welcoming all the staff were. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in and provided such friendly service throughout. You can tell they really care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back again, and I’m really looking forward to trying out their new restaurant next door too. Highly recommend!”
