Quick info
About Gurkha's Diner
Gurkha's Diner is a Nepalese restaurant on Victoria Street in Paignton, and the kitchen turns out goat stew alongside the poppadoms and dips that open most meals. The head chef steps out from the kitchen to check on tables during service, and the floor staff work in matching uniforms. A private dining room at the back hosts groups, and dogs are welcome inside. Walk-ins are seated when tables allow, with parking a short walk away on the surrounding streets.

“We've had takeaways from here for a long time, and enjoyed many meals at the old venue, but this was our first visit to this new location. As always, food was incredible. So tasty. The new restaurant is a lovely place to eat. Most of all, the staff are brilliant. Very friendly and looking smart on their uniforms. The Head Chef came out and checked on us, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend here if anyone wants a tasty meal, in lovely surroundings with polite and attentive staff. We will be back 😊”

“Absolute banging food! Would advise booking in advance. Especially during summer season when tourism is higher. The staff are always very welcoming. We walked in on the off chance they had a spare table and they managed to squeeze us in. We ordered poppadoms, dip, 2 starters, 2 drinks and 2 mains and it was just under £60. The delight was out of this world, super creamy and sweet, honestly one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Clean rest rooms and restaurant. We love local and will definitely be visiting again.”
