Quick info
About Harbour Light, Paignton
Harbour Light is a pub on North Quay in Paignton, set overlooking the bay with views from the front of the building. The kitchen works a gastropub menu built around fresh fish, with a light, crispy batter, mushy peas made with sweet peas, and a homemade tartare sauce. The pub has its own ale, and that same ale goes into the pie filling, with a noted crust holding it together. Council parking sits a few minutes' walk away, and dogs are welcomed inside, with blankets and treats set out for them. Drinks run from the bar and coffee counter, and seating takes walk-ins through the day and evening.

“This place was very, very good Looking for a local good chippy. Saw this place and made the walk (on the intention to eat out like a normal chippy) It was clearly a eat in/outdoor restaraunt. We sat on the outside (bit before the Harbour walk through) and ordered some food. At first thought £19-£20 for fish and chips was high. With location ect. But the chios came out with a mushy peas, curry sauce and a tartar, clearly all in house made. The batter on the fish was the crispyest ive ever had (im from the black country with battered chips). Not drenched in oil. Chips were absoloutley on point. Their onion rings are unreal. Hit the nail on the head 5/5. What an amazing place and staff you have! Only negative is where we sat (outsode before you walk through into harbour) with out 2 year old was not safe at all with the drop through the railings. But we didnt notice this prior to ordering”
