  “What a treat. Loved our visit to this riverside Italian. We dined inside to escape the heat wave. Amazing food (pizzas, can twist on carbonara). Tiramisu rating 8/10. Brilliant 👍 Overall, excellent setting and service. Tasty food, quick drink order. Will be back”

  “After a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings of Otley, stumbling across this gem was unreal. Staff were super friendly and although pricing was maybe slightly steep for uni students to afford, the view of the river from the stool seats made it worth every penny.”

  “Had a lovely family meal on the terrace for a birthday celebration recently. Food was really good, service excellent friendly and profession, atmosphere was really nice and chilled in the sun on the terrace. Slightly on the pricey side compared to a few other similar restaurants, however the setting is quite unique so guess you are paying for that. All in a good experience and would go back for a special occasion 👌🏻”

  “Ate at Buon Apps today for my birthday & had a wonderful time. I attended with my adult son & his 2 children. Buon Apps is a beautiful restaurant in a fantastic settting. The staff were all great, friendly, polite, professional & lovely with the children. The pizza I had chosen was the best I have ever had. Everyone’s food was delicious & children were catered for. I have a lot of serious food allergies- the staff were efficient & diligent listing & checking them without embarrassing me - which can happen in some places. Thank you so much.”

  “Fantastic Italian restaurant tucked by the river in Otley. They do set 2 & 3 course meals on weekdays. Atmosphere is great and service is very professional and courteous. We went for set meals and alacarte. Food is authentic Italian and is delicious. On an average it's £20 per person which is reasonable enough for the ambience.”

  “Visited here yesterday (14/2/26) as a party of 10 to celebrate my sister-in-law's 90th birthday. We had an initial mix up with party size ( we'd booked for 10, the table was set for 6) they swiftly managed to correct that, without fuss, even though it was Valentine's Day and they were extremely busy. The staff were efficient, pleasant and attentive from start to finish. All of the orders came out in a timely manner , perfectly cooked and presented with absolutely no mistakes 👌 Food was amazing , I had the Bufala mozzarella, beetroot and pear salad to start and a Triade of fish ( sea bass, salmon and huge king prawn) on broccoli with samphire. Had Peroni Zero and the rest of the table had various drinks. Coffee / tea to finish. Everyone enjoyed their food and complimented everything. They brought a ( pre-ordered) red velvet birthday cake which they served for dessert and sang happy birthday . 🎂 My sister in law had an amazing birthday , just the right level of noise for her too, as too much hustle amd bustle can be overwhelming. Would definitely recommend a visit and I'm looking forward to going back sometime when I'm next in the area. Thank you to all of the staff who made her day special - you are appreciated. 🥰”

  “We recently visited Buon Apps River Lounge for a family birthday celebration, and it was an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Nestled beside the picturesque River Wharfe, the location alone makes this Italian gem worth a visit. The views from the restaurant add a relaxing, scenic backdrop to a memorable meal. The food was the real highlight. I opted for the calzone, which was generously filled and perfectly baked, with a beautifully crisp crust and rich, savoury filling. My wife chose the melanzane alla parmigiana — a classic aubergine dish — and it was wonderfully balanced, full of flavour, and authentically Italian. Our children happily devoured their margherita pizzas, which were fresh, simple, and delicious, just as they should be. Other members of our group enjoyed a range of pizzas and pastas, and everyone commented on the authenticity and quality of the ingredients. The menu offered a great selection for all tastes, and portion sizes were satisfying without being overwhelming. Buon Apps combines delicious Italian cuisine with a stunning riverside setting”

  “I came to this restaurant with my family and was totally blown away. The welcome from the beginning was warm and engaging, the help in choosing from the menu was brilliant and appropriate, the support offered for changing seating and making me comfortable was second to none. Then the food came - and it was even better! The dishes were a healthy portion, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. As a coffee lover, my dessert won me over when I was already very very happy! The coffee was so good I had to buy a bag to take home. My only issue was that I wanted everything from the new menu and I cannot wait to return again! A wonderful place to visit, to sit by the river with your coffee or to spend time with loved ones having amazing food. Highly recommended!”

  “Really lovely food. I normally can find something wrong or "Wish I went for something else" but we all enjoyed our food a lot! Very authentic Italian and just a friendly and welcoming place. Would highly recommend.”
