  “We didnt say here we stoped for lunch. Food was basic. Many in the restaurant were complaining that the tea tasted strange. Brownies were stale. I wouldn't recommend it.”

  “Excellent local pub and restaurant. The food is homemade, fresh, and full of flavour. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and provide great service. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and overall experience. A lovely place to enjoy a meal, and I would happily recommend it to others. Definitely worth a visit. Definitely the best in central Oswestry.”

  “Booked a table as we were stopping nearby and had good reviews.place looked a bit run down from outside but thought I'd go against my gut feeling ordered the rump steak only £16 presented well but dry and tough as old boots couldn't cut or chew it obviously not been freshly cooked sent it back got another one and it was better but still couldn't eat it asked if she would knock a bit off as it wasn't edible the lady knocked £3 off wow worse steak Iv had”

  “Been wanting to pop into The Griffin for a while. Well parked in the. Bailey Head car park. So only about a 3 minute walk.. lol. Well, you won’t be disappointed, from walking in to the pub, the service was fantastic, the pub was clean, and a really warm welcoming. The gentleman behind the bar was absolutely fantastic. Ordered our drinks and found a seat, within a few minutes he came over and asked if we were ready to order. Now things where it gets even better both my daughters are a right nightmare when it comes to food. But they both ate their food, my eldest, absolutely demolished hers. And she’s as fussy as it comes. Both myself and my partner couldn’t say anymore them, the food was amazing and we both want to go back.. As I write this I’m so stuffed. The food was plentiful and warm. It even tasted homemade, which is another bonus.. I want to go for Sunday lunch next.. so watch out.. I’ll let you know.”

  “We popped in for lunch on oir way to Aberystwyth, having found it by accident after the pub we were planning to visit was closed.. What a happy accident it turned out to be! This is a gem of a find - fab food, good beer and personal service. This is one of the best pub experiences we have had. Will definitely be back.”

  “Booked for the festive menu and wasn’t disappointed at all. We came on a Wednesday evening as a party of 4. We booked in advance with a preorder and deposit paid. We were asked if we were ready for our starters and they followed in a timely manner. Food arrived quickly lovely and warm. The size was perfect and we were also asked about sauces etc. the food was beautiful home cooked pub food not like chain restaurants. Honestly value for money and brilliance service. If your from Oswestry or visiting I highly recommend.”
