About Sandwich Shack
On Milnrow Rd in Oldham, Sandwich Shack is a sandwich shop, cafe and takeaway operating on a walk-in basis with no bookings taken. Alongside its breakfast menu and sandwiches, the kitchen makes homemade pies served with mash and mushy peas, plus homemade puddings. A small seating area lets customers eat in, while a takeaway option and local delivery cover those eating off site. Outdoor seating is available for anyone who prefers to sit outside, and dogs are welcome there. High chairs are on hand for families with young children. The shop opens Monday to Saturday during the day and closes on Sundays, and it can get busy with waits at peak times.

Customer Review Summary
The criticism is just as specific. One reviewer reports a sausage so raw it felt uncooked, and says that when they raised it on a later visit they were called a liar. Another describes a small breakfast with toast instead of the requested fried bread, a strange-looking egg, no extra black pudding and water at the bottom of the tray. A third complains about an egg and mushroom muffin with about eight slices of mushroom, and ketchup left off a dry muffin for a lactose-intolerant customer. Another says sandwich quality has dropped and the owner is rarely there.

“Last time I will be getting anything from here. The prices are ridiculous £4.20 for egg and mushroom!! My colleague had bacon, sausage and egg and it was cheaper ??? Mushrooms? About 8 slices if that. Putting items on bigger muffins does not make it more value for money it just means there's too much bread. As I'm lactose intolerant I asked for a dry muffin but requested ketchup so it wouldn't be as dry - but no ketchup on it. And unfortunately this isn't the first time it's been like that so in future I will go elsewhere. If you wnt to charge £4.20 for a sandwich thats fine - just make sure the sandwich is actually value for money please.”

“The quality of the sandwiches have dropped considerably! The owner is hardly ever there, not sure of she is Ill ( hopefully she gets better soon if so). The sandwiches are not at all expensive, but the quality has dropped and they are not made with Love. It's a shame”

“This little cafe is across the Rd from Sheywake in Shaw, the food is really good but not to expensive, the guy running the shop is a decent friendly bloke and service is quick even though the place can get quite busy, there is a small seating area for people wanting to eat in 🙂👍”

“First time we tried this place today, the poor lady was so busy. We had a little wait but well worth it. The food was great, we will definitely be back xxx”
