Customer Review Summary
Cakes are the most frequent draw, with reviewers praising the bakewell slice and a lovely choice even when the selection was small over the holidays. One reviewer notes gluten free is available, with vegan and dairy free sometimes offered. Close behind is the home cooked food, including a veggie lasagna one diner calls a new favourite, plus a fabulous selection of savoury dishes, breakfasts and sandwiches. A chai latte earns praise, and the locally roasted coffee is described as very high standard. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and polite, and diners describe a welcoming feel and a spotlessly clean room. Several value that the cafe offers training and work to young people with learning disabilities, and one parent says the learners are treated as equals. Families mention big portions, board games and books, and a little pop up shop at the back. One reviewer suggests booking a table for groups at weekends, and another noticed people who had phoned ahead to reserve their cakes.

“Beautiful little place - service was absolutely brilliant. I had a chai latte and it was amazing. I went with my family and their food looked lovely too. We also got a few bits from the little pop up shop at the back. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. ❤️”

“New to area and have a adult son who has LD and wanted to support others who also have LD in the community So popped in here and its an amazing place, the learners are FULLY supported and are FULLY encouraged to partake in all areas of services , they are very clearly treated with the upmost respect and enjoy their time there . Love seeing young people with LD being treated as they should be, as equals , as people with likes and preferences not just "needs" , im probably nit putting this very well but i absolutely love this place and how learners are treated The food is AMAZING , i have a new foodie favourite and its the veggie lasagna, WOW Calming place that i happy to bring my son to , he likes to go there and thats a 5 star review in itself!”
