Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers return for the generous portions and fast, freshly cooked takeaway, with the spring roll called massive by one diner and the best they have had by another. Sweet and sour chicken balls and king prawn balls come up repeatedly, alongside egg fried rice packed with different meats and veg, the big prawn fried noodles, beef chow mein, and the dinner for two. Close behind, reviewers praise friendly, cheerful staff and prices they call very reasonable, with one saying it beats ordering through delivery apps. A few single out the Peking ribs in sweet sauce and the wandering dragon with broccoli in garlic sauce. The main complaint comes from one reviewer whose second visit disappointed: the spring rolls were a greasy lump of bean sprouts in batter, the sweet and sour chicken was dry, and the crispy chilli beef had no chilli. Another found the special fried rice did not seem fried and the wanton soup only normal. One notes the waiting area was a bit cool, and the same diner was home with their meal about ten minutes later.

“First time ordering here and I couldn't be more impressed! Everything was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and the portions were incredibly generous. The prices are amazing and far better value than ordering through Uber Eats or other delivery apps. The service was incredibly fast, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Without a doubt, this is the best Chinese takeaway I've had in Norwich, and it will definitely be my new regular. Highly recommended!”

“Really fancied a chinese takeaway tonight. The first two were cash only, my last try was here, the China Star who took card payments (I never carry cash). Ordered my usual, sweet & sour king prawn balls, egg fried rice and a large spring roll. Price very reasonable and it was freshly cooked. A bit cool in their waiting area but about ten minutes later I was off home to enjoy my meal. Huge portions, the spring roll was massive, all in all a very tasty meal. I'll be going there again.”
