“I recently posted a review 2 months ago saying the fish and chips were excellent and they were , but the last 2 visits the food has been uneatable, the first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt but last night was even worse I ordered Cod and Potato fritters They took them straight from the top hot unit , boxed and handed over When I got home opened the box Fish batter was like a rock hard and dry The fish inside very dry and no flavour The potato fritters dry, hard These had obviously stood in the hot plate for a long time Anyone serving should have seen this and thrown away as unstable Unfortunately I live 6 miles away and was not going back After using this bar for many years this quality is not acceptable as their many good fish bars in area serving FRESH fish and chips”

“Best fish and chips shop in town. My son is extremely fussy and only loves the fish and chips from here. My personal favourite is the chicken med kebab in pitta, the chicken have a very nice seasoning to it and the salad is always very fresh (some don't care for the salad but for me it's the icing in the cake). Staff are nice and friendly and the service is quick even when they have cooked everything fresh for me. We come every other week or so and will always recommend you guys to people we know in town. Can't comment on delivery but think it's through a 3rd party and I don't really like using them so we always collect and never had a bad meal. Thank you”

“Probably one of the best fish and chips I have ever tried. But the customer service was awful. Two employees were nothing but lovely to their customers whilst one gave dirty looks when I had asked for my food and when asking for more salt on my food. I was devastated because this is not the first time this has occurred with a specific employee at this shop. I would always choose to get my fish and chips from here but customer service standards need to be risen.”

“One of the best chip shops about. Great food. But the customer service me and my partner got yesterday was appalling. Nick and Scarlett are nothing but amazing. Always smile and get orders done with no complaints. But one specific employee is the complete opposite. Yesterday me and my partner ordered food and my partner asked if she could have more salt on her food. Rather than being nice about it dirty looks were given. When ordering the food the specific employee was screaming for another employee in a rude manner and that upset customers. Will always go to this chip shop for my chippy but customer service needs to improve with certain employees”
