  “Food was really delicious, and the pace of service was perfect for what we wanted. We wanted to chill and chat without being rushed to accommodate the next guests. The service was friendly and exactly what you’d expect from an authentic Italian restaurant. The authentic ice cream was a winner! The owner’s limoncello was fab! Highly recommended!”

  “My partner and I had dinner here last week and were blown away by our experience. The food was very fresh and tasted delicious with a small menu and fresh pasta that was cooked perfectly. The service was incredible as well, everything was genuinely great and it really felt like we were sat in Italy. I really recommend this lovely place.”

  “It a very fine restaurant in terms of the food that they serve, the care they take in making the food. The passion fruit martini was very good. The service was brilliant. I will definitely have to come back to try some more of their meals.”

  “Although very quiet when we went, the food was delicious, had a real home feel and the pasta actually was home made! Cocktails were great and very reasonable - 2 for 1 on a small selection. Service was lovely and professional. All in all, a gem of an Italian restaurant well worth visiting.”

  “A small and really cute restaurant with seats inside, outside and at the bar counter top. We had bruschetta for starter, tuna and olive pasta, crab ravioli and millegoglie for dessert. I am use to tomato bruschetta so this pesto and burratta bruschetta was different and it was good. I had the crab ravioli and each ravioli was generously filled. The ravioli was delicious and if I were being super critical, it lacked a bit of depth. I think if there was another flavour such as an umami or chilli, it would elevate the dish, however, this is only a suggestion. The pasta was very well cooked. The dessert was delicious, pastry was light, cream was beautifully whipped and overall the dessert was not too sweet which is perfect for me. I look forward to eating at this restaurant again ! 😀”

  “A gem in the heart of Northampton, what a find! We had an amazing dinner here, it was authentic Italian food, with excellent service. It’s not often you find ‘proper’ food here, I would highly recommend. Thank you La Trattoria, we will be back!”

  “We visited La Trattoria for our wedding anniversary dinner. I think it may be my new favourite Italian restaurant in Northampton (and I’ve been to a lot!). This authentic Italian restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, the staff immediately greet you as soon as you enter the door. Both members of staff were very friendly and attentive. Topping up glasses, when low. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional and the portion sizes are generous. It’s quite unusual to have a restaurant which makes much of its dishes in their own kitchen. The handmade pasta was delicious and leaves you wanting a few more mouthfuls after it’s done! I would highly recommend people check this place out and it maybe it’ll also become your favourite Italian too.”

  “We booked a table for 4 on a Tuesday night. The restaurant itself is really cute, the interior is very nicely decorated and they even have some outdoor tables. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The menu is limited which we quite liked. For starters we had the shrimp which we were really impressed with and then the bacon wrapped figs, these were a little underwhelming. For main we all had the crab pasta, the portion was a generous size, there was a good amount of crab and you could taste that the pasta was homemade. We were too stuffed for dessert! I’d say that it was all very delicious, my only drawback would be the prices of the pasta dishes. Overall, it was lovely and would recommend a treat and homemade pasta!”

  “Best authentic Italian food in town! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and had the 3 course menu. Every single dish was to die for - everything was made from scratch, so much flavour and the perfect portion sizes. The rigatoni carbonara was particularly sensational and my husband was a huge fan of the meatballs. The chef is so talented. Not the mention, the restaurant itself is lovely, nice atmosphere and the staff were so attentive. Will 100% return!”
