About The Fish House Fistral
At 5 International Surfing Centre, The Fish House Fistral is a seafood restaurant overlooking Fistral beach, set into a surf centre spot with a terrace that welcomes dogs. The menu leans into the Cornish coast, building around sea bass and Sri Lankan prawn curry, with fritto misto and crab arancini off the specials board as a starter. Dessert keeps things simple with a chocolate brownie to close. Tables on the terrace are outside only and get released the day before, so anyone wanting a sea-air seat calls then, while inside tables are booked further ahead. Reservations are required. Service runs attentively, and the terrace catches the sunset on a clear evening.

Most return for the seafood, with the crab arancini singled out by several diners alongside monkfish skewers, sea bass, and fritto misto. Service draws consistent praise, with one diner noting a server quickly removed an unwanted main without being asked. A lone reviewer, however, found the tacos and Thai curry well below average. Several suggest booking ahead to catch the sunset terrace.

“Food was fantastic, the crab aranchini especially. My wife’s main course wasn’t quite to her taste but the lady did not hesitate to take it off the bill without us even asking. Great service all round.”
- Alex Sales
“We loved it here. We got there early, they bought the drinks to us on the terrace seated us on time. Lovely atmosphere, nice to not see fish and chips on the menu. And we had a great sunset. Staff were on point. For outside, book a table inside well in advance then the day before to move to an outside since those aren't released until the day before.”
