About Fort Inn, Newquay
Fort Inn, Newquay is a pub in Newquay at 63 Fore St, set right above the harbour with elevated views across the bay towards Watergate Bay. A soft play area for young children gives families room to settle in, and a TV screen inside lets parents keep an eye on the kids from their seats. The kitchen covers lunchtime classics, pub favourites, burgers and sweet treats to finish. The bar pours St Austell Brewery beers, with coffee and spritzes on the drinks side. Screens show sport, so match days are covered. Drinks can be ordered through an app, though food cannot. Dogs are welcome, with water provided both inside and outside.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the views over the beach and harbour, with the large outdoor beer garden and terrace the place diners say they linger on sunny afternoons, some under a heater. Close behind is the food: a prawn cocktail baguette, baked potato with chicken and bacon, onion rings, and a ribs and chicken combo with ribs falling off the bone. Families praise the soft play area, with a screen inside the pub to watch the children, and a good choice of kids' meals. One reviewer singles out Mena Dhu stout, and drinks can be ordered through an app. The caveats are about the food. One calls it unremarkable pub grub, another found the carvery expensive and the Yorkshires disappointing though the roast potatoes were good, and a parent wanted more adult main courses such as pizzas. Food cannot be ordered through the app. One diner found an outside table dirty, and a young staff member cleaned it quickly. Dogs get water inside and out.

“Went here for dinner ..had booked a table inside but decided on outside when we got there. The view was excellent 👌 table was very dirty but young chap cleaned it in a jiffy. I had baked tattie with chicken bacon and mayo...side salad and onion rings. Have to say it passed my expectations...it was delicious, and I have to say I've never had onion rings cooked so well!! Mr had the ribs and chicken combo with slaw and chips....the ribs were just falling off the bone ..chicken was good, but maybe a bit spicy for Mr! We had 1 drink each and a waitress kindly took photos for us. Will probably be back before we go home. Highly recommend, and the rest of the menu looked good”

“We visited three times during our stay in Cornwall, which says it all! This is a lovely restaurant with stunning views, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus a fantastic soft play area that kept the kids entertained. The food was delicious, and there’s a great variety of options for children, making it an excellent choice for families. The only improvement I'd suggest is expanding the adult menu—adding pizzas or a few more main course options would make an already great place even better. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Cornwall!”

“We stopped at The Fort Inn for some food and drinks and were really impressed. There's a large outdoor beer garden with plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax, especially on a nice day. The food was very good, the service was friendly, and there was a great atmosphere throughout. The standout feature has to be the amazing views over the coastline, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're visiting Newquay.”

“I can’t fault The Fort Inn. Plenty of seating in different areas. Inside or out. In the sun or shade. Plenty of food choice. The food came quickly, served by friendly staff. The food was really good and plenty of it. We sat outside and even had a heater so we could stay longer. Great Place.”

“I didn't eat but the food looked good. Lovely friendly place. Lots of screens for sports including on the terrace outside. The terrace is one of the best places in Newquay to sit and watch the day go by. They sell Mena Dhu which is a fantastic pint if stout, not to be missed.”
